More clips! big whoop! lol. I have too much time on my hands don't I. Hah... its not really true but i guess it looks that way. So here ya go. Clippie clip clips. Not my stuff, btw. I did all my "guitar-friendly" songs already. I'd have to lug the ol keyboard down here to play the other ones.... and "Disappeared" is really a keys song... but whatever. It's guitar friendly if played right... which i never really did.... blehh o well. Ok here. 2 songs. enjoy.

Hey Richard.... what makes you think I'm 12?!?!??
I'm 17... I think I'm going to go cry
But then again... If rach is 14 and I'm 12, that isn't so bad

| Mmmmm. Cookies and cream ice cream. It really IS my fave. Ahhhh, better........
So anyway, I went to that concert last nite. It was in SF, at the Fillmore, at 8 pm. The other 2 bands on tour with Switchfoot are Copeland and The Jealous Sound. I'd not previously heard of either one before last night. Funny story of how I ended up going... I heard abt the show awhile ago, and my sponser, Marc, got tickets. He's *always* heading up these things... Well Tuesday he immed me and said, "hey would you want to go to a Switchfoot concert Thursday? Someone ducked out at the last minute... and now we have an extra ticket. It's yours if you want it." Well hey, I'm not the biggest fan of theirs but sure! Under $20, too... and I didn't even pay that b/c I had spotted Marc a couple of weeks ago and he hadn't payed me back yet, so I only had to cough up about $4. Last-minute ticket to a Switchfoot concert for only $4!!! SWEET!
Four of us went... Marc (Band Ministry's drummer), Pira (my Band Ministry's leader), Winchell (our rockin' guitarist ) and myself. So it was kind of a Band Ministry night out. The Fillmore is standing room only... except for like, 4 tables up at the top, and you have to be waiting there maybe 5 hours before the concert if you want to grab one of THOSE seats. So basically... I'm only 5'1"... shoulda worn heels. And my back hurt after standing all that time. But other than that it was fun fun. The ticket says no cameras... and I didn't know that until I saw it... but the lady saw my cam, asked if it was digital, and upon hearing my "no" let me go right on in. So I have pix! I took 3 pics of Copeland, 2 of The Jealous Sound and 3 of Switchfoot. I got Marc to take two of 'em since he's a head and a half taller than me and I have one of the singer. *forgot his name* *ducks to avoid hits from angry Switchfoot fans* Poor Marc... they let me in with my non-digital camera and they took his chips away. huh..... funny.
The other 2 bands turned out to be kinda good... No way to know for sure if they're Christian or not tho. I could hardly hear the lyrics. I could hardly hear ANYTHING when we left, come to think of it. But I think the second band, Jealous Sound, had some lyrics that seemed Christian. Mentions of searching for an answer and hope and all that. Copeland had a couple of lyrics along those lines too but I was much more impressed with how it came out in one Jealous Sound song.
Copeland seems younger than either of the other 2 bands... and they dropped their name 3 times, along with a mention that they were from Atlanta, Georgia. Oh, did I happen to mention they're from Atlanta? In contrast, The Jealous Sound name-dropped maybe once or twice, and in passing, with a reference to Switchfoot and how cool it was that they got to go on tour with them. So there you have it. Copeland is wet behind the ears yet. But honestly I think I go more for their stuff than The Jealous Sound. I prefer Copeland's singer's voice... he went up into falsetto a number of times, seemingly effortlessly. The Jealous Sound... They have some great guitar leads and all... but voice matters to me for some reason. And their lead singer can sing, but there's just something about the quality of the first band's that I prefer. hmm.
Switchfoot.... I don't think I have to say it again but I will. They ROCKED. Seriously. I think the whole house was holding out on the other 2 bands because we didn't come to hear them... we were waiting for SWITCHFOOT. Hahah. Too bad the crowd never quite got into the jumping thing... I woulda jumped. I would. Really. But there were sporadic bursts of jumpers and then they just kinda died down. And Switchfoot just went crazy... the singer and the bassist were jumping all over the place, getting up on the bass drum and hopping off, jumping off the stage to sing right to the crowd and then back up... and the KEYBOARDIST! WOOHOO! An Asian keyboardist who plays a little guitar! Jerome is now my inspiration! And I think Pira's too... because Pira went on tour with the ARC ministry a few years ago, playing keys. And he plays guitar to lead worship. And he's Filipino, like Jerome.
Well that's long enough to satisfy my adoring fans, is it not? I gotta go anyway. To eat dinner, then get ready for Band, then fellowship... Goodbye, good nite, and God bless!

| Wow, that sounded fun! That was the concert I wanted to go to but couldnt, since i'm stuck down here. I'm gonna make up for it eventually. Somehow...
They didn't let you bring digital cameras? That sucks!
Cookies and cream is my fav too! I haven't bought another flavor of ice cream since my junior year of high school. Quote: |

| *waves to Tim* *sorry she was jamming out on guitar and rocking out to CD instead of being online*
*jealous b/c none of her pics came out that great*
And no... hott is Jeremy Mhire, formerly of Plus One. He is the reason I got so into +1. Well he's out of the group now. And so's Jason Perry. It's so not about +1 anymore.
*duh nuh nuh BWAAAAHHH* I BOUGHT THE SWITCHFOOT CD TODAY!!!! *happy* We had baptisms today, and the church we rented out to use is right on the other side of the mall parking lot... so I went to Tower after the ceremony. Also got a cute new CD holder and TJT's Emotion Is Dead... And I'm kinda disappointed in that, I'd had higher hopes for TJT. Yet another CD that's gonna have to grow on me I guess.
I went to Walgreens after that to pick up my film that has my concert pix... and broke the last twenty in my wallet. I was surprised. I'd had about maybe $60-80 in there not that long ago. The last 4 days have been really full and busy for me, but I didn't realize I'd been spending so much. I had... the Switchfoot concert (even tho I only shelled out $4), lunches at school ($1.25 twice a week), CEBC Women's Conference on Saturday - $10, today's lunch - about $6 or so, shopping today - $35 at Tower, $10 at Walgreens....
*adds up amounts* wait that's over $60 right there. Humph. No wonder I went semi-broke.
*bops head to "Gone"*
Anyway.... about the baptisms... 3 c/o '02 people got baptized today, along with some other people from college and a few adults and 2 high school girls. I'm surprised they let the HS girls get baptized... I don't remember the combined CEBC (pre-"expansion") letting HS people get baptized. I guess CEBC Sunset really is choosing to be more lax about things like these in order to encourage more people to get involved. Not necessarily a bad thing... but maybe it should be watched, because this leniency could be inadvertently taken advantage of. Quite easliy too. *just my opinion*
Anyway... the twins (Kayson and Karson) and Tiff Ng were the 3 '02 people who got baptized. 6 of us went out to eat lunch (toasted subs! I had ham and cheese. ) and get cards last-minute for them. Then we went to the church... and I dropped off Serena and Kevin... then I had to park. Ugh. I just went into the Stonestown Mall parking lot and found a semi-close spot, since it was already 1pm, and the ceremony was suppossed to begin then. Got in a little late, and Beeno (Serena's nickname... lol... don't ask) saved us about 1/3 of a pew. Kev had gone into the lot for some reason... I saw him there in the lot before Tiff Fong and I walked back up the stairs out of the lot and to the church. So Tiff and I crammed into the lot... and then Kev came back and we scooted down to make room for him... and then Simon and Terence and Other Serena came in... There was absolutely no more room in the pew for them. The church was already filled to capacity by the time Beeno had gotten there. But we managed to squish in Other Serena b/c she's a skinny little thing. haha.
Karson wins the award for Most To-The-Point Baptism Speech. He basically said something along the lines of "God has been good to me, He loves me, and now I'm gonna show my love for Him."
Well to be honest, mine was even worse. But that was 4 years ago. 2 days before my 16th birthday. I blanked out so I just said something like "I've been a Christian for well over half my life, and it's about time I did this." Well, at least I did it at my old, AoG church, so no one particularly cared. Hah.
*jams to Switchfoot*
gone, like Frank Sinatra... like Elvis and his mom... [/Switchfoot lyrics]
*duh nuh nuh BWAAAAHHH*
^^ stuck in my head. Permanently. And I don't mind anymore. Until 2m...
