| awww... if you really want one, you could find one at Best Buy or something, and get it for under $10. And a lot of times you can find them for free (with rebates) or $5.

10. Michelle Branch songs
9. Discovering that Michelle's guitar was out of tune when she recorded All You Wanted and not being able to listen to that song ever again because it bugs me to no end now
8. Posting on forums
7. Having an interactive online journal (and it NOT being a Xanga!)
6. AIM
5. CHRISTMAS BREAK
4. Broken Glass (my poem- I will put it here in eventually)
3. The One That Got Away (I LOVE that song!)
2. Legend of Green Dragon on TQF (this game that I'm addicted to)
1. Psalms 103
When I open those 2 CD's I'm getting for Christmas (Todd Agnew's and Matt Redman's), I'll have to make a new top ten to include them, I'm sure. Riddle Of The Moment:
'Twas whispered in Heaven, 'twas muttered in hell,
And echo caught faintly the sound as it fell;
On the confines of earth 'twas permitted to rest,
And in the depths of the ocean its presence confes'd;
'Twill be found in the sphere when 'tis riven asunder,
Be seen in the lightning and heard in the thunder;
'Twas allotted to man with his earliest breath,
Attends him at birth and awaits him at death,
Presides o'er his happiness, honor and health,
Is the prop of his house, and the end of his wealth.
In the heaps of the miser 'tis hoarded with care,
But is sure to be lost on his prodigal heir;
It begins every hope, every wish it must bound,
With the husbandman toils, and with monarchs is crowned;
Without it the soldier and seaman may roam,
But woe to the wretch who expels it from home!
In the whispers of conscience its voice will be found,
Nor e'er in the whirlwind of passion be drowned;
'Twill soften the heart; but though deaf be the ear,
It will make him acutely and instantly hear.
Set in shade, let it rest like a delicate flower;
Ah! Breathe on it softly, it dies in an hour.
Anyone got a guess at it? *I already know it*
Until next post...
-Rachel

| God's Perfect Timing- Journal for Day 7 ^ Seriously. I got a flat tire this morning, right as I was *trying* to leave for church. After complaining about it for a bit to my friends, I really thought about the timing of it and realized it was indeed, perfect. Had this happened last night... well, my family was driving in that car and we were just down the peninsula, in Daly City/ South San Francisco, nowhere near home, and had it happened a few days earlier... well, I had both of my finals to go to on Friday morning, then I spent the rest of the day with my kids at their elementary school. In a couple of weeks? I'll be back there, helping out again. Plus, I have jusry duty this week, but not tomorrow. And today, after AAA already put the spare on, my dad was able to spend a little time to go to the tire shop w/ me and have them check it out. (BTW, they said they couldn't find a leak!! hmm... sabotogue?)
Still in awe of how perfect God's timing is. He allowed this to happen when we could handle it. Not before, not after.
Oh and that riddle...? Quote: |

A while back the same thing happened to me. I got a flat tire 400 miles from home and I couldn't get the spare off. I started to get bent out of shape until I realized that it could have been a whole lot worse...it could have happened the day before when I was traveling in the middle of nowhere or it could have been the week before when my wife and small children were traveling 300 miles from home.
I don't know if it's God that throws us these curve balls or if that's just how life is, but it's how we resond that matters and our response can be a measure of where we are along our Christian walk.

So today, I click bigpirate's blog link and find out that he's c/o '02 as well?!?! YEAH!!! Let's hear it for the members of the Last Year Of Teenagerdom Club! Woohoo! But I'm only going to be in it for another month. Oh well... 20, here I come. It's all good...
| I am no longer a member my friend... I turned 20 on the 19th. '02 does rock, though  . Quote: |

| Awesome... Is that the one with Blessed be your name? (the matt redman). And my youth group sings This Fragile Breath by Todd Agnew... I just wish I could sing it better like him. Oh well. God's will? Quote: |

| Yeah, if you already went and read the first pages of my blog, you know my story about being far from home with a flat... but that is awesome that you step back and think instead of just getting angry and pouting. You are an amazing person.
And your riddle is amazingly hard . |

I'll tell u tomorrow.... but I want more guesses first!
Soooo anyway...
That tire is still not showing outward signs of any leakage... yet I don't feel comfy driving on it... I tried to leave the house earlier and got to about the next parking space- all of about 25 yards- and declared, "I'm not going ANYWHERE on that!" It was just too rickety-feeling. I got back into the front parking space and that was that.
Still don't have to go in for jury duty yet... *crosses fingers*
I rediscovered my old Project 86 CD (DBL) and have been simultaneously headbanging and working on crocheting a scarf. It's quite a sight, really. You should see me... hehe. If I get called to go to the courthouse, I'll probably be doing that there as well. In front of an old friend, too... I found out we're on the same jury pool. I'm kinda hoping we don't have to go in, esp. since it's Christmas week and all, but I won't mind all that much if we do b/c at least I'll have someone else there I know. But crocheting and headbanging... not exactly an everyday combination. *I crack myself up*
*countdown* 27 MORE DAYS 'till I'm officially not a teenager anymore! *hopes for a promise of a new & better acoustic or an electric guitar*
Ahh, mut doh houh, lah... hai gum lah! *Neih sik gong gwongdung wah!* -Rachel

| 'Twas the day before Christmas, and all thru my blog... nope, nope, nope. not that complicated! here it is again...
'Twas whispered in Heaven, 'twas muttered in hell,

On the confines of earth 'twas permitted to rest,
And in the depths of the ocean its presence confes'd;

Hint: take a look at the two bold words. Then check out the rest of the words and think about it... not in terms of something grandiose or whatnot...
I'm playing this extremely addictive game called Black Nova Traders on TQF. I spend a lot of time working on the game, and I'm not even in the top 20! I'm like, number 26 or 28 or whatever. *sheesh* It's a lot of fun tho.
That's all for now........... -Rachel

One more guess; Sound?

| Nope, and nope.
The answer is... *drumroll* the letter H!!!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's a flippin' letter of the alphabet. Haha, it's like a Seseme Street thing: Brought to you by the letter H. Heh.
I kno, I kno, you're probably going or Just don't do this over a silly little answer.
Well, my Christmas hiatus was semi-productive.... It's not over yet but I figured I was leaving some poor people in the dust wondering what the heck the answer was to that riddle. I got those 2 CD's I mentioned - Where Angels Fear To Tread by Matt Redman and Grace Like Rain by Todd Agnew - plus One by Paul Colman Trio. Forgot I asked for that. But I did, and I'm disappointed. It's not as good as I'd hoped for... (Oh well, I sneaked together the words "plus one" so something good came out of it. )
The other 2 CD's are great. I already have new worship material chorded out, and it only took me about a half hour. Nice. I already passed out Grace Like Rain to the other Band members, and now I have Romans 12:1 (also by Agnew) and Call To Worship for us to work on.
That's about it for me.... I guess I'll have to wait another half a month before I get anything better than 3 CD's and a Tweety foot warmer.
*goes back to her Pearl Harbor courtesy of Blockbuster*
*Birthday coming up in 18 days! Woohoo! *

But I digress.
So after poking around some more on these forums, I see there is a poetry forum... with contests and everything... hmm, maybe I'll actually dig out my poem book and copy/paste a few of my writings some time.
I barely got a chance to touch that bass last night... I even brought my guitar too. But there were already 3 guitarists and 1 electric... My band leader, Pira, asked me to take keyboard and my friend Jon to play bass b/c he's better at it than me and he's back from UCI on break... I think it's Irvine... could be UCLA. I don't know anymore. Everyone's everywhere else except me. But my day is coming... one more year here stuck in this hole called City College of SF and I'll be FREE! Can't wait... Bethany College here I come!
But until then... I have my 4th-graders to work with. Oh, man. They're awful and awesome at the same time. <~ me after a day with them
Just think of the poor teacher... he's overworked, underpaid, only gets 3 months off in the summer and 2 weeks off at the end of the year, and then he has to start all over again with the next batch of kids.
Ugh. I am definitely not going to be a teacher. I've made up my mind and that's final. birthday wish list:
1. Taylor guitar
2. A hot guy (preferably Josh Hartnett)
3. Inspiration for more songs
4. Maybe a party?
5. Maybe a DVD, like the LOTR trilogy? Ok, I can wait a bit for that. -Rachel
