| Baseball I know some of you people on here have to like baseball, so I wanna know who you think is winning the World Series, who's winning the divisions, and who's winning the wild cards.

| American League
East: Yankees, sadly
Central: Looks like Cleveland, once again
West: Those dang Mariners are on fire
Wild Card: Probably Oakland
1st round of AL Playoffs:
NY over Seattle -- I only say this because Seattle lacks a lot of playoff experience -- I would gladly see NY lose, though
Cleveland over Oakland
ALCS:
Cleveland will upset NY with Juan Gonzalez winning ALCS MVP
National League
East: Atlanta
Central: ASTROS!!!!!!!!
West: Giants -- late surge will overpower Arizona
Wild Card: CUBBIES!!!!!
1st round of NL Playoffs:
Houston upsets Atlanta
Giants beat Cubs
NLCS:
Bonds will break record for HR in an NLCS as Giants win in 7
World Series:
Cleveland over Giants in 7 games -- MVP -- Juando
That's my wild and crazy predictions.

| i dunno dude you are goin out on a couple limbs there........ hmmmm i don't think anyone can beat seattle this year.... well at least anyone from New York..... but i do agree that cleveland will beat oakland (but it will b a great series), but then they will lose to Seattle.....
my national league is far different.... i see Arizona beating out SF in the division, but SF getting the wild card. then the 'Stros and the Phillies will also make it.......
Arizona will make it to the WS, based upon the fact that Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson both RULE! and are impossible to hit.....
but i think the mariners will take the Series in 6, with Bret Boone being the series mvp
this is all, of course, one huge shot in the dark, but its fun! time will tell whose right

| Hey careful SCCdcFrk
You have a Seattle fan on your case.
considering they have clinched the wild card irregardless They win the division, and eventually the World series.
MVP: either Boone or Ichiro
gotta love the Japanese on that one.
Oakland should have a good shot at the wild card. and SEA VS NY will be a GREAT series irregardless of the outcome. |

| I'm just saying that I think inexperience will take it's toll. I could be wrong -- Like I said, I wanna see the Yankees lose, I'm just going with my gut instinct. Lemme just give you a few teams to look at here, though from the past 5 seasons.
The '96 Rangers, the '97 Astros, the '98 Cubbies, the '99 Diamondbacks, the '00 A's, and the '00 White Sox -- who I think are most comparable to the Mariners this season. A young team with a lot of new faces making a spectacular run at the pennant who could very well do it. Just remember there's a huge difference in playoff baseball and regular season baseball. Just ask the Yankees about that one. Last year, they didn't have all that great a record compared to everyone else, but you know what? They won. Why? Because they played their best when you didn't think they were gonna win. I have seen countless games that the Rangers have played them in the past 5 years where Texas had them against the ropes, and winning by like, 6 runs. But, 'ole Bernie Williams or Paul O'Neill would come up and hit a grand slam. Then their relievers would shut us down in the next inning and they'd get a 3-run homer in the 9th to win. There's a difference in a young team that wins a lot of games and an old team that wins the championship. I'm not saying you're wrong for picking Seattle. I mean, shoot -- if it was Texas in that situation, I'd probably be saying different things. But, not being from Seattle, I have a different perspective -- one from the outside. But I don't blame you for pickin' 'em -- they're a great team, and I'd LOVE to see them beat NY. So -- until then, Go SEATTLE!!!!!!

| Yeah, I agree. There's nothing I'd like more than to see the Yanks go down in postseason, that is, except I'd rather see the Astros win it all. How about Roy Oswalt this year? He's 12-2 (starting tonight, 7 Ks through 5 innings only one hit!) and he's like 23! I bet he'll be their number one starter in playoff series.

| Wow, a big T. Cool! (Yeah, I know it's the Rangers' logo...)
Speaking of logos, my grade 6 teacher's wife designed the Toronto Blue Jays logo. Cool eh? Too bad they won't win this year...although they did beat the Yanks 14-0 a couple days ago. But they're way too inconsistent, so they don't have a chance.

| Okay, here're my predictions...I didn't read SCC's post, so any duplicate predictions are just coincidence...
AL East: Yankees (Red Sox are just falling apart...we'll have to wait for next year *sigh* again)
AL Central: Cleveland
Wild Card: Oakland
AL West: Mariners (not much guessing there)
Sorry, no NL predictions (i haven't kept up with them all that recently) I guess the astros will win central though, and Cubs get wild card (It'd be cool to see th Cubs win it all, now that the Red Sox are just about done for)
Mariners beat Oakland, Yankees beat Cleveland
Mariners beat Yankees
Cubs beat Mariners |

| 'Zona isn't gonna beat the 'Stos unless Schilling and the Unit start the first two games of the series.
