I have recently proclaimed some unliking for a certain team that has won the past 3 WS, and how I don't like them at all.

I still want to proclaim that I'm not a fan of their team, and still don't really like them a whole lot, but in light of this past week, I would have to say that with all the contract negotiations and stuff going on this season, there would be nothing better for baseball, and for America than to see the Yankees win the World Series this season.

I mean seriously, how cool would that be to see Yankee stadium just ERUPT if they win it all. Also, I know the team is going to be fired up, and probably will accept nothing less. They're going to have a city FULL of fans that are going to be backing them 150% (they already were behind them 100% to begin with). So, in this humble Texan's opinion, what a show that would be to see the Yankees win. I still am, and always be a Rangers fan 'til the end, but I am not at all against seeing the Yankees get their fourth in a row this season.

I also have to say to anyone from New York that I am EXTREMELY proud of your citizens this week. I've always seen the image of New Yorkers as the "rough and tumble" people that are always cocky and have bad attitudes and stuff, but this past week has proven me wrong. You guys have all been very strong and showed so much more love than I've ever seen from a city ever. Y'all's courageousness and unity has been noticed here in Texas, and has made me proud to call myself an American. Thank you, to the people of New York for helping me realize that New Yorkers are just as loving and compassionate as everyone else.

I repeat, there's nothing I'd rather see than the Yanks go down in the first round this year, despite the tragedy. They've had their turn and everybody elses at the World Series.
