Well so far so good, no snow. Thank you Lord. Course the warning isn't over till 7:00 tonight.

Well, I got a tip a while back that I could possibly get disability for support because of my hearing. In past jobs I have always had trouble hearing that it is a hindrance in my performance. I am told one thing and I think they say something else only to find out the opposite later. All I can do is say sorry for the misunderstanding. Yeah, It has been frustrating for me as well my bosses. Sometimes I would get so mad about it that I want to pull my Hearing aids out and throw them away or stomp on them with my feet. And I get angry at myself and fuss at God, lol. Sometimes there is depression about it. Handicapped, hunh. Such a ludicrous word. But nevertheless a reality. This is one reason I am so dependent on God to take care of me. If it wasn't for him I think I would go crazy.

I read this and just had to go back and catch up on some of your previous entries. The stuff about snow just cracks me up. When you guys get snow it's gone like the next day but when we get snow up here (150+ miles north of Minneapolis), snow we get in November and December and January and February, etc. will generally still be on the ground into April and sometimes the parking lot piles are around until May. In fact we have fishing seasons up here and opener for northerns and walleyes is around mid-May. I have gone out on a couple of openers and fished in the snow.

But, to tell the truth, winter up here gets so long that sometimes I am envious of those of you with the warmer weather.

Hope all is going well for you today.

NC isn't much better. Sunday afternoon I took Geofrry to the park to throw a frisbee around. I was barefoot and wearing shorts. 81 degrees. There is wet snow falling sporadically right now.

Well, I am applying for disability at the social security office to see if I am eligible to recieve it. I do have hearing aids that work okay but still have problems understanding sometimes. I really need new ones as these I have now are beginning to show signs of wear and tear and breaking down in performance. They are sooo expensive. Be nice to get those digital ones with stereo sound quality. They are like 2,000 dollars per aid, lol. Way too expensive for me. Have to take my left aid to the shop since it quit working . Sigh, well thats life. Sorry, this hearing loss bit does get me down sometimes. Kind a used to it since I was born with it.

It is another beautiful day in the neighborhood. Its sunny and bright and warming up again, hoo hoo. Loving every minute of it.

I gotta go and get my left hearing aid fixed it quit working, dadgum it. Not only that I got to take all my glasses to get them tightened. My lens are falling out on me, lol.

I don't know if I had mentioned it, but I put a new electric guitar in layaway. Its a mexican strat. Wish I had a picture of it so I could show it off to you guys. Its main color is black and has splashes of gold and white and gray all over it. Looks great. Yeah one of those Squiers. It will replace the Japan made one I had for eons. It has become raggedy. I got the new one for $285. Not bad, huh. Well it will do me till I can afford a real strat or Gibson hollow body. Well I am going to go and enjoy my beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Right now the weather is a little gloomy, cloudy and all. I need to get out than stay couped up in here in front of the PC posting messages in CGR. The weather is doing that to me. Ehh, I better go and move around though.

Here's one that might cheer you up.

I talked to a guy last night and he said a friend of his called him from Sioux City, Iowa (northwest part of the state) and that he had 17+ inches of new snow in his yard. And this morning I heard that southern South Dakota got 20 inches of snow. This kind of thing always seems to happen in the upper midwest during state basketball tournament time.

At least it's not doing that in the Carolinas.

I got your address and the stickers will be in the mail either tomorrow or Monday. There's a little surprise in there with them too.

Jo Mo, how are things?

If I remember correctly (and that doesn't happen very often), you put a guitar on layaway. Pick it up yet? So, did you play before or is this something new for you?

I got stupid today. Stopped at the music store on my way home from work to pick up some new strings for my acoustic. Go comfy on the couch in front of the TV with the basketball game going on. Started the restringing job and break the very first peg. I hadn't really put much pressure on it at all so it must have been brocke already. So now I can't play (if you can call what I do with the thing playing) until I can get back down to the music store in the morning. Oh well, what's a guy to do?

Have a good one.

No, I am replacing an old electric that I have had for almost 20 yrs. now and will be getting the new one in a month probably, maybe sooner. I have been playing guitar since I was 14 or 15 yrs. old. Yeah and I can't wait to get it. I am 47 yrs. old now. I am not a full blown professional player, yet. I don't do a whole a lot of practicing as I would like to. I am good at rythm guitar, a little slow at lead.
Hey, what do you mean by peg. Is it the tuning pegs ( as some people call them) or the ones that hold the strings behind the bridge. Those can be replaced easily. You can buy those at the music store if they carry them.

Oh boy, can't wait to see it. Hee hee, I am like a little boy. *jumps up and down with glee*

I went to to a concert tonight to hear celtic music by Celtic Air, they are awesome, 4 girls on violins and 1 boy with a guitar in the middle of them. He also plays a bagpipe, and very good with it I might add. He plays kind of contemporary style rythm on the guitar while the girls play the celtic music on their fiddles. They have 2 albums right now but they didn't have them on display. I have got to get one of them. I think you guys would enjoy them. If they ever come to your area go hear them.

hope it works>
