Oh, the other cool thing I forgot to mention about my set up.
I actual have five speakers running at the same time because the Marshall still runs its own power amp to its own 12" speaker, while the line out runs the signal to the powered cab, pushing the 4X10" speakers....sounds cool!

I recommend small tube combos to folks with questions like yours. The one I play is a Mesa Boogie Studio .22 (22 watts class A). It's the real deal and it's been a great joy to play it.

Listen to Nate, he knows what he's talking about. Mesa's rock, and there are definitly more Mesa amps out there than the rectifiers. If you can, check out the smaller Mesa combos out there and see if they're to your liking.
