Both Jason and Phil play on "Eternal". Jason plays one acoustic part, and Phil plays the second acoustic plus the electric. About a year ago, Phil graced the cover of Christian Musician mag and he talked a lot about the song. Jason was also in that issue and discussed the colaboration as well.

A tatented guitarist *should* be able to switch styles easily. Going from the hard LS sound to a soft acoustic piece shouldn't be a problem for someone like Jason. I'd wager the change in Payable On Death was as much, if not more, a collective decision rather than just Jason's playing style.
