| I play a blues-rock style, but when I play acoustic,I play a folk style, more James Taylor than Neil Young. Both of these guys had a big impact when I first started playing. On the electric,Eric Clapton was a big influnence, even tho I listened to a lot of 70's hard rock growing up. |

| I play lead...that's a style, right?
I'm really big into jam bands so I like to noodle, but my style usually varies between jazz, blues, and funk, with a little rock mixed in. What can I say? I gotta lotta soul.

And then, when you master that, having mastered the "musical statement", then "comment" further on that "statement".
Cases in point: "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, and "Epic" by Faith No More. Also, almost anything by The Cure.
