I really like that Jo Mo, 10 points for you.

Definately

of course 9/11 changed the world....2 countries have been invaded and taken over by g. w. bush...afganistan and iraq....and who knows waht other countries he's after....."Turky"...he'll probably invade it because no one expects it...then when its all over...change it's name to "Chicken"...but seriously....When John Cabot(Giovani Caboto) found North America, the world changed (Cristopher Columbus found the Caribeen, not N.A.)....when the king of england screwed the US....the US revolted and fought to become an independant country....how can you say 9/11 didn't change the world....the world has changed...and the US has become known as a bully in most other countries in the world....I am a canadian....and i'm not trying to say that america is to blame...i know quite a few americans, and i like them....americans a nice people....and it's probably not their fault for the changing world.....all i am saying is that the world has changed; maybe for the worst, maybe not; since september 11, 2001...it will never again be the same

I wouldn't exactly say that Afghanistan is taken over, as they've drafted their own Constitution, etc.

Ugh. Statements like this don't bother me when they come from an American (in fact, I chuckled at it a bit, before I realized you were Canadian), but when they come from people out of the U.S., it just comes off as so much ignorant I've-been-filled-with-so-much-anti-American-propaganda-that-it's-coming-out-my-*** bullcrap. And your "American people aren't to blame" speel certainly didn't help matters. It just comes off as, "Your government sucks, and I feel sorry for you." You don't live here. You have no idea what you're talking about. All you know about American government or Bush is what your own government hand-feeds you. Learn the facts, not the propaganda, or just get over it.

I'm sorry if i offended you...but i live very close to the US border (ie 10 mins)...and consequently get many US news broadcasts....and i watch then... there is of course no propaganda on your tv networks....if you were chuckling before....why cant you chuckle know??....i have had discussions with americans who are not civilians about stuff in the US....and that guy was right....afganistan is fairly free now..but it wasn't....there are still american, canadian, british and aussie troops there.....i have nothing against you or your country...and even support a few of bush's views....so next time please be less swift to judge others just because they're from another country

Yet this forum is filled with American's commentary on the rest of the world.

I take offense to this, also. Broadly tarring "foreigners" with this brush is ridiculous.

Unhappy

I realize that many americans don't like canada after our former prime minister decided not to go to iraq.....we now have a new prime minister that is actively trying to repair relations with the white house....this is good....however, we are to distinctly different countries, and we must act like it, that is why jean chretien(former P.M.) had support of the contry....that said, this is everyones world....and whether bush is canada's P.M. or not...he still has a huge impact on the events in our country as well as the rest of the world....same goes for paul martin(new P.M.).....he affects the whole world....and if there is something that affects the whole world....the whole world has a right to an opionion about it.....if i offended you(the guy who says we're feed from our gov.) with the Turky/Chicken joke....it's one canadians make about ourselves too.....we don't ussually invade people....but thats why it's funny.....so i'm sorry for offending you....i just hope now that you don't think that canadians are judgemental....it was only intended as a joke....and i'm sorry for offending you.....and Scott....i don't know where you're from....but thanx

Haha, wow, isn't it great when you get in a frenzy and post something, come back a few hours later, re-read your post and realize how retarded it sounds? Anyways, I sincerely apologize for any offense caused, and I was definitely a little too brash. It just seems that everyone who's not living in the U.S. has the same exact opinion of Bush. That annoys me, not because I'm a fanboy for Bush--I don't particularly like the guy, myself--but because it seems like everyone outside the U.S. gives the exact same robotic response when it comes to American government or Bush. He's a bully, he's a warmonger, etc etc etc. It just gets old. But in any event, my post was far more harsh than I intended it to be, and I made an unfair and unresearched blanket statement--I sincerely and wholeheartedly apologize for this.

Well...thanx for the apollogy(you're probably thinking canadians are to polite now).....but i do accept some blame....i should've thought more about what i was writing....and i realize that it is more than bush making the calls....he's got advisors and stuff.....there are a lot of things people don't like about him....but in the long run....his wars had good outcomes.....afganistan is free of the taliban and has a new gov.....and iraq, well, it's on its way.....as a christian i am morally opposed to these wars.....but definately not opposed to the outcomes.....people say he's a dictator....nope....theres an election in the fall.....if the democrats win...well....i think that'd be the end of spontanious war.....if not.....bush will continue to to what he thinks is right...and by doing what you think is right is a sign of a good leader...doesn't mean war is right....but so far, i like the outcomes...fewer evilly run countries.
