It ain't these crazy, five finger chords. It's all about Cm7. That is all.

It's only a suspended chord if the suspension is resolved correctly, though, I believe. Otherwise, the E functions as a non-chord tone, in this case, an add9.

I think...

Well, Aaron, that's classical theory, but nowadays it just is assumed that the 3rd is replaced with either a 2 or a 4, disregarding the resolvation rule that is in place. Good note though.

If anyone picked up a pun in my last scentence.. you're trying way too hard.

No one's said the James Brown Chord: D5 x54555 or the Jimi Hendrix Chord: E7add9 x7678x. Two pretty cool chords...

So, if, as The Moody Blues suggests with their album title, there is a Search for the Lost Chord, what chord would that be?

Nate?

Chesh

The major chord. Definitely. There's just something about the root/fifth/third combo that people just seem to lose. (sarcastic...)

There have been some very cool chords posted here To go along with another one posted earlier try this X20345 It will really impress your friends yep Once in a while I throw it in as the starting chord for the next song we will be practicing. Most singers realy like it a lot lol.
