| Yorkville amps I play through an XM200. I have played through Peavey TNT's and TKO's, briefly through an SWR workingman 15. My original amp was a Yorkville 50. I loved it and so did every other bass player that used it. Like a fool I Traded it for a Peavey TKO, which is in itself a pretty good amp-but it did not sing like the Yorkville. Then I traded the TKO for a TNT, again a pretty good amp with better power for larger venues. Breiefly had access to an SWR Workingman that was good but the price was out of the question new and used I wasn't into. I went back to the store where I first got my Yorkville 50 and traded the Peavey TNT and a little cash and bought the Yorkville XM 200. Might trade it for an Ampeg, maybe, if I thought it would do any better, but not convinced that this would be anything other than a step sideways. My Yorkville is set up with the 15" speaker it also comes in a 2 x 10' configuration, my preference is for the deeper rumble of the 15's. This is a good amp, maybe even a great amp and the price is reaaaally good. |
