The lyrics to the story was suppose to capture the anger in such a situation... which may I add did a very good job. In interviews, John Cooper actually talks a little about his situation and tells how he and his father later talked about it all. His father is saved now and they are a lot better now.

Great

I love this CD. The re-release is better than the old one. I have both.
"Open Wounds" rocks!
The song is about John's relationship with his dad growing up.

In case y'all are wonderin.

Then I heard "My Obsession" and i was like..."THAT'S SO AWESOME!" Then I heard "Fingernails" and i was like..."THAT'S SO AWESOME!" Ok I think you get the point. This cd is AWESOME. Skillet rules! I would imagine so considering that Linkin Park isn't intense AT ALL. The whole Collide CD is far more intense and brutal than anything I've heard by Linkin Park

I don't know about that. Chester's screaming can be pretty intense, but, yeah, I have to agree that this cd much more brutal.

People named Chester aren't capable of having intense screams.

This was their best album to me. I gave it an 8 since i get a little annoyed by their heavy one chord riffs they do a lot, or seem to do a lot. But besides that, it's awesome. "A Little More" is my favorite, but "Imperfections" is another gooder. Heck, I like 90% of the CD.

Oh, John Cooper's the lead vocalist and bassist.

This is a pretty good CD. Not Skillet's best CD, but still really good. (I haven't heard AY or Invincible.) It's kind of sad they dropped their signature style for this, though. Before, they were unique. Now they aren't. They are still original, though. This may not be Skillet's most original CD, but still pretty good. I give it a 9.

They've had radicaly different styles for all of their CDs.

Radically? Not really. Did they change their styles a little? Yes. From between Self-Titled and HYILYS, they had completley different styles, but it still had a little grunge on some songs. Invincible (from what I've heard) is like HYILYS, just a little softer, and AY is like the others, only a little harder. The Collide is completley different from AY, while still having a small influence from self-titled.
