So perhaps it's time to return to cgr.

I have indeed missed this community, and missed it sorely. But alas, I have been up to lots of things, so... lets review what I have been doing these past few years... (these aren't in chronilogical order...)

1. Got married to Becky (or Princess Becky as she is known on here) on July 14th, 2007. Wonderful wedding with over 200 in attendance.

2. Started working at Pope County 9-1-1 in October 2006. Love my job. Absolutely love it. Sometimes it's insanely stressfull, and I've had my moments where I can't take another second of it, but it's great. Really.

3. I'm going back to school. Becky decided that it's time I go back to school and pursue an education so I can really do what I want to do in life. I'm majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. Ultimately, I want to work for VIACAP, or the Violent Crime Apprehension Program. Intriguing stuff. Really.

4. I left Affectus for a while, but I have returned. And we have released a full-length album! Check out our MySpace Page

5. I am a youth worker for the London First Baptis Church youth group. Literally, the best bunch of kids. Ever. We have gone from an average of 25 kids last fall, to over 45 each week this semester! Not bad for a town with less than 2000 population. This spring break, however, tragedy struck our group. One of the core members of our group died in a drowning accident. I'll post my Facebook note about my thoughts on that event later. It devastated us, though, and we are still trying to recover. If any of you still read this... please just pray for all of us.

That's really about it, right now!
However, I'm sure there will be more to say soon. Becky and I have been getting the "When are you going to have a baby" question a lot... so... who knows?

So this week has been interesting. Classes are almost through (hooray!), and all i have left after tonite is two (hopefully) easy finals.

On the down side, this may the Becky's grandfather's last week. Honestly they told us last night that they didn't expect him to make it this far. They took him off of oxygen late last night, which is a good sign, but at the same time, he's still not doing that great.

We went to see him last night, and although we didn't get to stay long, I think it was good for Becky. Often times it seems that those terminally ill get one last chance at saying goodbye, and I think last night may have been it. I thank God that Becky and her family was able to leave with an unburdened heart last night.

So... that said... this weekend may be tough.

If you're reading this, just say a quick prayer for my wife and her family.

Good news, good news. Becky's grandfather is getting better. they've taken him out of icu and placed him in inpatient rehab. so... who knows... maybe he will make it to another christmas.

just finished my last final of the semester. *whew!*
