| hmmm...sorry guys...i'll get that pic to you as soon as i can figure this out...if not...SmileAndFollow gets a shot at it....
Anyways...I've been gone a while, so I have to get you guys up to speed. I spent my weekend at a debate tournament. It sucked. My partner is a friggin' idiot. Two of the rounds I had to take him outside to get him calmed down enough to finish. He got into screaming matches with the opponents. I had to aplogize for his behavior. Needless to say, we didn't win. Go figure. We get a bulletproof case, and I get stuck with a half-wit partner. Oh well...
I took Becky to the movies Saturday night. We compromised: My movie saturday, her movie on thursday. I picked Butterfly Effect. I'm not sure why this movie has been getting awful reviews. This movie was incredible. If you don't know what the "butterfly effect" is, you need to know before you see the movie. The "Butterfly Effect" is also known as the "Chaos Theory". This theory basically states that if you took every single variable, and left out only the single flutter of a butterfly's wings, it could alter the universe. Let me clarify. Say you made a weather predictor. You made this weather predictor include everything. Every variable. The flight of birds, the speed of wind, the movement of people, the stirring of a cup of tea. Everything, but you left out the flutter of a butterfly's wings. At first, the predictor would get the weather on the dot. But as time progressed, soon it would completely miss its mark. Before long, the machine would be useless. it would miss entire hurricanes. It basically says that if you changed just one minute thing, the entire world changes.
That's really Psychological and all, but the movie is really good. At first it's pretty freaky, but in the end, I was surprised at how moving the movie was. The language was less than desirable, and if you have a weak stomach, I woudn't reccomend it...besides that...great movie. Two thumbs up. It gets an A-.
That's my movie review for the day...I'll tell you Thurs. night how Chasing Liberty was...
Bless,
Brandon

| Brandon!
Hi there! Yeah, the internet has been super touch-and-go lately, so i haven't been able to be on a lot Yeah... Butterfly Effect and Chasing Liberty.... two on my "gonna see" list. Sorry to hear about the tournament. Half wits are beasties.... although i could be considered one in debate land, probably.... I just care too much about certain subjects. That sort of thing... fights and the like... would happen often a few years ago when debating w/my youth leader, but it could be because he's a button pusher.
So... where's that picture?!
