| LOTR trivia Round Three! Since the last thread kind of died out, I think it's time for a fresh start:
Here are the rules:
I'll start with a question. The first person that gets the right answer gets to ask the next question, and so on. If a person gets the right answer but doesn't post a question in the next 24 hours, another user may ask a question to keep conversation going. Trivia may be:
from the movies
any book by JRR or Christopher Tolkien pertaining to Middle Earth (The Hobbit, LOTR, The Silmarillion, Lost Tales, Unfinished Tales, Adventures of Tom Bombadil, and the Shaping of Middle Earth books by C. Tolkien are all acceptable). Harry Potter trivia is not acceptable (duh)
facts about Tolkien's life. (eg, where was he born, what was his wife's name, where did he teach, etc).
Basic questions about the tolkienian languages are also acceptable, as long as they're things that can be answered without intense study of the language. (Asking what the word "estel" means is good. Asking a person to translate the entire first chapter of Genesis from english to Quenya is not. )
So here's my question: What were the Olog-Hai?

| The Olog-Hai, bred in Mordor, were an attempt to breed an immensely strong army, that was also competent. Normal trolls did not do, as they were quite incompotent, and so rumor has it that these ordinary trolls were bred with variags, to produce these Olog-Hai. This resulted in Trolls thatw ere smaller than the average troll, and were sometimes mistaken for large orc soldiers. This new breed, was cunning, as well as immune to sunlight making them a great asset to the army of Mordor.
What is the name of Gandlaf's ring?

| The anniversary of his poisoning by Shelob.
he was also ill over the anniversary of his getting stabbed by the Nazgul, but that didn't occur during the war of the ring (Did it?)
Who invented the elvish characters (that later evolved to be the Tengwar)?

| I believe it still counted as the war of the ring. Yes it was the stabbing by the Nazgul Lord on Oct. 6.
In answer to your question I believe it was Rumil.

| Well I'm pretty sure I'm correct, so I guess I'll ask a question. If I'm wrong ignore me.
What effect did the unmaking of the One Ring have upon the remaining Elven realms?

| Yes, you were right And about your prior question, according to the Appendices, Frodo was ill on both those days: October 6th and March 30th (Or sometime in March, I'm not sure)
And it ended the power of the elven rings, so the Elven realms weren't protected from the change of time anymore. So they gradually faded away as their residents left for Valinor.
Is that right?
If it is....What drove Nienor Niniel to commit suicide? (Bonus: How did she commit suicide?)

| Yes that was right. I just had one of them. Alrighty.
She committed suicide at the age of 27, because she ofund out her true identity. She dies by jumping off the Kabed-en-Aras into the river Teiglin in the year of 499.
