| I do sound at my church, and I had to deal with a 26 inch subwoofer playing 80s hair metal on Sunday morning. The wire can pick up stations, yes. |

| The creepiest thing is when you amp picks up a preacher preaching on some radio station. |

| this usually is caused by the pickups in the guitar picking up signal, the instrument cable picking up signal, or the room itself picking up signal.
I've only ever played in one building where the interference was that heavy...I picked up some talk radio on my guitar. basically the room itself probably had poorly shielded wiring, thus the room was basically acting as a big antenna. |

| I've never had a radio station before. I've done the old cell phone and watch tricks though. And just straight singing through the pickups and having it come out the amp. That's fun stuff, with delay, etc...

| Yeah, it happens from time to time, especially with a high-gain setup (distortion pedals, high gain amps, etc) - something in the signal chain acts like an RF receiver/demodulator. I've also picked up truckers on their CB "BREAKER BREAKER ONE NINE..." |

| i might actually be incorporating the vocal guitar into one of my songs...with my guitar you have to touch your neck to the strings on the neck portion of the guitar for it to work...it's alot easier with a semi-hollow where you can sing into the holes. |

| Yeah, I pick up all kinds of weird stuff on my amp. Mostly phone conversations. If my neighbors ever talk bad about my music on the phone while my amp is on, I will know, and be sad. My room has a lot of frequency wave going through it aparently. The really wierd thing is that when I had my braces on a few years back, I could pick up more radio stations, but if I moved my head the station would go fuzzy. I was picking up something from AZ for a while, but then I got my braces off.

| When my band used to practice in my garage, I could pick up stations by touching the strings of my bass over the pickups. When I took my hand off the strings, it would go away. It was the weirdest thing and only happened a few times. |

| It's also really creepy when your amp somehow calls your phone. I had a bunch of people over and there were like 3 amps on and the radio was on in my room and the phone rang. Obviously we didn't hear it, but my mom picked it up downstairs and the sound in the phone was coming from our amps. She said she could listen in to everything that was going on in there.

Yikes! haha - I need to get braces soon.. I sure hope that doesn't happen.. well.. it might be ok if it was good music and I was at work.

My spring reverb unit picks all kinds of radio stations up all the time. I just turn up the reverb, turn up the master volume, then turn the reverb a little up or down to change stations. |
