you have to have a certain amount of talent to write a guitar part, but after a certain point (especially in a band like Evanescence) it doesn't matter how good you because there's a method of writing.

Writing riffs and guitar parts isn't really songwriting. For that matter, that doesn't really require the ability to play the guitar well. The guitar is just a method used to write the music. HOwever, any instrument can do this. You can transpose a guitar song to piano. You can write on piano but play it on guitar. Its the creativity within the person that matters. Having the ideas makes for good songwriting. ACtually being able to play them and make them interesting in a neat recording is a horse of a different color.

According to Ultimate-guitar.com, the guitarist from Cold has officially replaced Ben in the band.

It's true. MTV.com can verify that here.

Gah, I liked Moody. I'd like to hear why he left. To work with Avril Lavigne and Godhead? Pitiful, IMO. But that's his decision.

And isn't Amy dating Balsamo? She was dating Moody, before, also....Not totally sure what my point is myself though.

I wish I was in Japan right now, too.

Yeah, UG said they were dating. And that Cold is officially dead now, as well. Not like I've ever heard of them before....
