I *heart* the deep, rich sound of the viola. But it can only compare to the sweet meoldy of the violin. I play violin and because of this and friends who played other stringed instruments I'm ABLE to play the viola and the chello. Never said I was any good, but I CAN.

*hearts* strings.

I played viola from 4th grade to 8th grade. I decided to stop taking orchestra this year since I simply didn't have the desire to devote time to it.

I have played violin/fiddle for 11 years. I really would like to get a five string. It has the best of both "V" worlds. Containing the C and E strings.
I don't imagine that it would be dificult to learn either. A little streaching of the mind maybe.
