| A while back there was a comment about a "massive fat God who can do whatever He wants". It reminded me of when I was talking to a missionary on furlough. He was in Kenya, and was listening to some of the people at the church sing in Swahili. He was shocked to hear that they were singing something along the lines of "Our God is so fat, Our God is so fat, Out God is so fat, so praise the Lord!" In that culture, "fatness" is a measure of power and wealth. So our God is so fat.
Hey, Galen. I pray for you, and I hope you are doing well, especially with the parental units and all. |

| Well, I'm now in Houston; we flew down Saturday, instead of Sunday. I don't think I'm going to have computer use priviledges after this morning, so I won't be on here until Tuesday night at the earliest. I will be writing everything down in my paper journal, however, so you can expect several successive long updates next week... If they're too long, I'll separate them by a few days each. Monday is Granddad's memorial service, and I would just ask you all to keep me and my family in prayer for that, and me with my troubles with everything I listed earlier. Thanks, all, and I'm praying for as many of you as I can remember to. I write it all down, so that would be just about all of you.

| Ruh-pay! That's so awesome. I wish I had an awesome last name. Maybe I'll get one when I marry, who knows!? :This is so funny. Triple posting and a fat God. My dad would be a powerful man if he were in Kenya! Hey, I'm going to Kenya. Maybe I should put on a bit of weight. I wonder if the same status catagorises the women too!? I can only hope!
Galan, you're name is going on my wall tonight, as soon as I log off this computer. That way I'll remember to pray for you! You're a champ. Hope Houston was great.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 15:13)

| When I went on a medical missions trip to Haiti, the women would come in and complain to my dad (an internal med.), and complain saying stuff like this, "My butt's not big enough", or "My husband doesn't think I'm beautiful anymore because I'm not fat."

It disgusts me the expectations women have from society these days. And how much pressure is put on them.
