The Barcus Berry Piano Transducer is Awesome!

I have hooked one up to our Kawai Grand piano, and it is amazing.

Clear uncolored, balanced sound of the entire range of the Piano from low to high strings.

Feedback never happens anymore, even when turned up LOUD.

We can actually turn up the piano louder than we need to now, if that says anything.

All the musicians can hear the piano in their monitors, including the pianist.

This is not a plug, I just want people to know what they are missing if they are still trying to mic the piano!

Interesting. How does it work? Is there a pick-up under every string or something?

It's a surface-mount kind of thing. Mounts on the soundboard under the piano. It's not very big, so no, it doesn't go under each string. Works quite well, though, from what I hear. It's what we're installing in our new sanctuary.

Goes for just over 200 bucks.
