| Bible interpretation A man visits a famous monastary one day where they have been faithfully hand-transcribing the Bible ever since it was written. They claim to have never ever made a mistake. The head monk greets the man and takes him on a tour. The man asks him "Is it true that you've never made a mistake in all your translations?" The head monk says "Yes, my son, that is true. We have never made a mistake in all our interpretations." He takes him through many rooms, until they finally enter the most holy place on the tour - a room containing an original greek copy of the Bible. The head monk bends over the manuscript to read out a portion to the man, to prove how accurate they are. Then, without any apparent reason he begins wailing. He cries and cries, almost hysterical, until finally the man manages to calm him down. "What's the matter?" He asks "What did you read?" The head monk says to him, with tears in his eyes "It was celebrate!!!" And then continues crying.

| Actually, I heard this joke several years ago and was howling. I think it's just not the type that works as well in print.
