Stars in their eyes...

*Ahem*

I'm guessing that you guys have stars in their eyes over there in the states, where people dress up and impersonate a famous singer. Well there's a series that never got aired over there, it was for people who were meant to come on the show, but never quite made it. On the first show, the presenter, Matthew, comes out and says: "Hello there and welcome to this very special series of Start in their eyes for people who could not make it onto the show in the first series for various reasons." *Audience claps* "I'd like to introduce our first guest for tonight, Simon - come on out, Simon!"
The lights flash smoke pours out, and out comes this guy in a wheelchair. An awkward silence comes over the audience, since this isn't what normally happens. Matthew says "Simon, would you like to tell us your story." Simon replies; "Yeah, thanks Matthew, I'd really appreciate that chance. I was driving down the motorway on my way here with my uncle for the first series, when a car crossed the centerline and clipped us. We spun out of control, and the last thing I remember before I blacked out was seeing my uncle go flying through the windscreen. When I woke up, all I knew was that I couldn't feel anything below my waist, and my uncle was dead." *Audience gasps*
"But, a miricle happened", continued Simon. "They discovered that for the first time in medical history, my uncle's DNA was an exact match for mine! Then, using the latest surgical techniques, they detached my uncle's legs from his body, and put them on mine. After 4 weeks of intesive rehabilitation, I was able to move my little toe!" *he wiggles his toe, and the audience cheers, clapping, etc* "Then, after 4 more weeks, I was able to move my whole foot!" *He moves his foot, and the audience gives hima standing ovation, there is not a dry eye in the house - an amazing moment in TV history* Mathew then says "Wow, that's incredible Simon, thank you so much for sharing that with us. Why don't you tell us, who are you going to be tonight?" Simon says "Well Matthew, tonight, I'm going to be... Simon and halfuncle!"

We don't have that show, but that's a pretty funny joke. Nice.
