great cd gave it an 8 cause i think 9 and 10's are given out way too easily, they should be reserved for things like collide by skillet [/QUOTE]

Exactly. Everybody always rates cds way too highly and it makes the whole system kinda meaningless because all the cds are 9's. So be critical and don't be afraid too diss something.

When I first got this cd, I was kinda disappointed. It lacked the variety of Set It Off and I was especially dissapointed because it seemed they had dropped their rap stuff, something I really dug on Set It Off. But I picked it up a few weeks later and was pleasantly surprised. It's a lot more mature than their first album and though there's little variety in the style of the songs there's lots unique and experimental riffs and junk. Such as: the weird voice he uses on the end of the last track, the irregular rythm on Quicken, the dual rapping in Rawkfist, the extremely fast rapping on the 11th track, and lots of awesome guitar riffs. But Set It Off is still the better album in my mind.

I gave it a 7.

I've heard "rawkfist" on the radio so much I finally decided to get the cd. It's heavier than what I usually listen to, but it's a good cd. I would probably given it a higher rating, but I've only listened to it about one time through.

Rocking Album

TDK has created an excellent work of art that Christian rock fans are sure to devour. The opening song, Phenomenon, is probably the best song on the CD and talks about Christians getting out of the closet and showing their faith. Step To Me, another great song, deals with the devil and temptation. The only slow song on the album, This Is A Call, makes up with powerfuly lyrics what it lacks in tempo. The rest of the songs, especially Rawkfist, don't really fit my taste, but these guys are very talented- no doubt about that. One other song I like is Quicken. The verses are really wierd, but the chorus is awesome and makes up for the verses and then some.

My rating: 8/10- I'm not into a lot of the songs on their CD, but for people who like that kind of stuff this album would definetely be a 10.
My verdict: TDK is a very talented band. I wish they would be a little more overt with the Christian themes of their songs, but those themes are there if you listen hard enough. If you like their kind of music, buy the album- you won't be disappointed,
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!"

It's TFK, not TDK.
When in doubt, bag it. -Me

I am fiercely protective of my friends and loved ones, and unforgiving of any who would hurt them. Speed and foresight are my strengths, at the cost of a little clumsiness. I'm most comfortable with a few friends, but sometimes particularly enjoy spending time in larger groups. What Video Game Character Are You?

I agree w/ the guy who said that "This is a Call" reminded him of FM Static....when I first heard the intro I though it sounded like '"Crazy Mary".....I also thought "I Climb" sounds like the "I dream of Jenie" themesong....the other day I was talking online to some guy who was claming to be the drummer....I don't know if he really is..but if he is that would be really cool.

This is a great cd. I like it b/c I can play it through and not skip over any songs. :-) Oh man, that's funny that you guys thought "this is a call" reminds you of "crazy mary" b/c it has always reminded me of it too! I thought it was b/c I got the cds around the same time. weird...

man, what a great cd. i love how it combines rock with a little rap in it like rawkfist (which is the best song), and how they also changed it up in this is a call by going slow. very catchy and the singer, trevor mcnevan, adds a lot to the powerful guitar and bass lines with his singing style
