Oh, I SO wish I had a real B-3! The best thing I play is a Roland XP-60. It's got a patch called "60s lead organ"

I am also much more comfortable behind my guitar while I sing.. my vocal teacher says I hide behind it..lol.. she's probably right.. I think with the sound that close to me.. I stay in tune easier..(probably only in MY head..) anyway.. what I found makes it easier for me is to practice the songs separately at first.. so many times I catch myself strumming to the lyric rhythm but often that isn't what I should be playing.. so I practice the guitar first.. then the vocals. and then together.. and to make sure I'm not hearing myself one way and everyone else hearing the truth.. I tape myself and then I can make realistic corrections... Hope this helps...

I'm just attempting to sing and play my guitar at the same time. It's practice...the worst is to strum the guitar to the same rhythm as the vocals, or to get messed up in the fingering because you're trying to make your voice sound nice.
I think I will get it in practice, though.

I have only been playing the guitar for 3 weeks now, but I have found that I have a really easy time singing to the songs I know. I think that the key is that you have to know both parts well. For me I knew the songs by heart when I started playing them. And then after I learned the chords and the progressions I found it realtively easy to apply the vocals to the guitar.

IT is hard, but i find, when you sing the songs you can while you play, and close ur eyes during a worship service that you are playin in, it helps the peeps in the audience to worship to. I feel God the most on the stage playing, i dont know why, but its awesome.

persistence. I've played guitar since 5th grade, and I'm in 11th now. It was only in 10th that I could sing and play at the same time, of course, thats probably because I have no sense of rythym

you'll get it if you practice!

My guess is master each individually.

I can't sing, and i can't play guitar, thus i can't sing and play guitar at the same time. But i'm getting there. I like to pretend that i'm singing while i play guitar. Maybe thats just something wierd that only i do. Isn't it great how no one knows who i really am, cos i would be very embarassed
