I was thinking of you last night, Emily. My heart is heavy for your situation and your beliefs. One passage that came to mind that might help you out is the following:

Matthew 28

16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

You will notice here that Jesus doesn't say, "teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you except for the things that you don't feel are right." Nor does he say, "teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you except for when the culture changes and it becomes ok." This statement is very clear to his disciples and does not allow for exceptions.

Dont lose sleep over me. I'm perfectly happy now... I have bigger trials and obstacles in front of me than telling homosexuals to change their ways. I'm trying to be good in other aspects, I'm trying to deal with a lot of things. Yeah, and yet "you're never good enough for God... you're always going to fall short".... look at me... I'm falling short. Who doesnt do it? Dont tell me your heart is heavy for me... Not over this.

Emily, where have we ever said this to you?

I should point out that none of us are ever good enough for God. Jesus took care of that problem, however, by dying to pay for our sins.

you never told me i wasnt, i was stating the fact that you believed no one was good enough for God. Jesus did take care of that problem.
