If we accept that there were religious ideals in the creation ot Athenian and Spartan law, then we are founded at least indirectly on that religion as well. I see little support that we were founded *directly* on any religion's laws or beliefs (except, perhaps, deism).

Yes, Athenian and Spartan religious views indirectly influenced the Constitution. They definitely didn't directly influence it, while Christianity may have. We can definitely say that Christianity influenced at least some (mose likely many) of the framers in their opinions on the Constitution, as the vast majority were strong Christians.

What kind of action is "liberated"? Hypthetically any action can be, with the possable exception of taking away the liberty of others.

So how about the liberty of a free market? Or the liberty to own animals and land? Those aren't liberties in the Bible? Also, the liberty to own a weapon, to choose one's occupation, and to vote for own's leadership seem to come into play.

Okay, I understand and agree. I personally think the conservatives in office have down very little, at least in regards to the blocking of judicial nominations.
