His main stage guitar is a Martin J-40, probably a mid 90's model

Then He has a Breedlove and a Batson: These are usually his studio guitars
rarely used on stage.

A CA Guitar: He uses this one on stage also, its a composite guitar.

A Taylor 410ce: Stage guitar, not used that much

I don't think Shane Barnard uses the Composite Acoustic guitars. He told me that they are not as expressive as he likes his guitars to be. Shane Everette on the other hand, loves them. He said they (the company) told him to throw one off the stage every night before they play to show how durable and indestructible they are. The funny thing is, the last time I saw them live he threw one and it busted all to pieces. He said it was the first time it ever happened. Luckily, he gets them for free. Back to the point though, Shane B. uses Martins and Taylors mostly while on stage, with the occasional Gibson.

See ya,
Jason

shane b. uses:
Breedlove sd20 focus dread: Sitka spruce top with rosewood back and sides, prefix pro pickup by fishman
Breedlove sd20 focus dread: Bearclaw Spruce top with rosewood back and sides, same pickup system
Martin J-40 (This model has been discontinued since 80's)

everett uses a composite by CA guitars.

and the shanes are endorsed by Gibson, so they're probably using them here and there.

check out www.shanebweb.com for stuff like this. that's where i got this from.

I've never personally seen them use a Gibson on stage. I have my doubts as to how accurate (or recent) that Gibson news is about them.

I've never seen Shane E. throw one of his guitars live the 3 or 4 times I've seen them...that could be interesting. Also, typical artist endorsement deals (a vast majority of them) don't get artists free instruments, and I doubt Shane E gets them either. All these young players have these aspirations of getting signed and being sponsored by Gibson or Mesa or something when it's really not as lucrative as it sounds. The typical endorsement deal allows the artist to purchase equipment at either a deep discount or at cost (but no less) in exchange for the brand being able to use that artist's likeness and name to promote their products. It's a GREAT deal for the companies because it doesn't cost them a dime out of their pocket since they're still getting the cost of the equipment. It's just not as good a deal for the artist as people would like to think.
