Are you serious‼? A Chronicle of Incredulity and Wonder.

Okay...

I figured everyone has a "journal" type thing going on...so I may as well start my own. I'm not sure how long it'll last, because I'm terrible at writing consistently in my *real* journal.

But anyways...

So I guess I should tell you all a little bit about me, maybe. I live in California, this is my second year in college, I have 3 brothers (who are really just monkeys in disguise), and yes. Oh and I'm a christian.

Well. I have to get up fairly early tomorrow for school and I need all the sleep I can get because I'm sick. *yay fun*.

Anyways...I hope I wasn't too boring. If I keep this up, I promise I'll be way more interesting next time.

lol I love the screenname Brian...that's aim, right? mine is...*drumroll please*...beanbagio. surprised?

anyways...today was better than yesterday I think. I have to go back and read what I wrote.

um okay, I didn't write much about yesterday. just trust me that it wasn't that great...the airconditioning in class was below zero! and my nose kept running.

but yes, today was much better. my speech class was cancelled so I had time to go to the library and research the stuff I have to have for monday. and I actually had time to eat lunch!

I can't think of anything interesting I did today...oh yeah...I almost hit my friend's dog pulling into their drive (it's a long, circular type thing). there I am, going happily along and whoosh! there's a huge dog prancing around in front of me! so my brother jumps out and leads the dog over to the side, and then the *other* dog comes running out, jumping and barking all over the place. my brother got his attention too, and I was just about to pull in when my other brother jumps out and I have to slam on the brakes again because the second dog runs over to him. needless to say, I was not pleased with him. I'm going to have to make a "you cannot take off your seatbelt until Sabrina has the car totally off" rule.

anyways...this is enough for tonight. I have to go take nyquil *shudders* and sleep so I can get up at an unholy hour tomorrow morning and get to arabic class on time.

lol weee...now everyone can see my lovely conversational skills.

umm...today started out not-so-great...I had to wake up at an hour in which no one should be up! oh wait...no one was except me! it was freeeezing in my room and my bathroom is made up of very little wall and very much tile and glass...like walking on ice. at least I wasn't late for school...and my mommy picked me up instead of me having to walk home (which I hate doing).

it continued on to be kind of okay...I was either online or playing my guitar most of the middle of the day, so there wasn't really opportunity for uncool stuff to happen.

here's where it becomes good...

so I'm really frazzled and angry and rushing because I had aimed to be at church at 5:45 to get ready for stuff tonight, and I didn't even leave until 6:05. and to help me in my quest for sanity, my younger brother and cousin kept yelling up random things..."Sabrina, we're late!" "Sabrina, we're leaving!" "Who cares about putting on makeup!" (which I was not!), etc. so I walked into the youth house in a pretty bad, kind of tired-spacy mood. I said hi to one of the girls like..3 times. she's nice though, so she didn't ask me what my problem was lol. anyways...I sat down on the floor with my guitar, and I was just thinking, "I can't lead worship like this, in a bad mood with a bad attitude. It's just not going to work."

as it turned out, I ended up being the one to pray before worship today, so I used part of that time to ask God to clear our hearts and minds and prepare us to be able to worship Him, and take away any outside worries and bad attitudes, so even though I was praying this for all of us, I was especially praying it for me. God is so cool. immediately, I felt better; calm, relaxed, and ready to start. it helped a lot that I calmed down, because I don't have a printed copy of 'God of Wonders' (which we did tonight) so I had to play it off the top of my head. I only messed up once but no one noticed.

but to get back on to what I was saying...not only was worship tonight such a calm-down for me, after that I really learned some good stuff during Bible study, and we had a really good small group discussion. so I started out having an ehh day, and it ended up being pretty awesome!

okay...that's all for tonight.

lol yay! I'm great! that can be my reason now when I tell my brothers not to do something. it'll be so fun!

Me: don't do that.
Brother #2: why not?
Me: because I said so.
Brother #2: why should I listen to you?
Me: because I'm great.
Brother #2: who says?
Me: this person on CGR. so there!

that conversation is fictional, btw...I'm just anticipating the future.

oh joy...time for the nightly update...

umm...today has been kind of sucky. my brother is in here being a loudmouth (and a brat). for some reason, the internet cable isn't working in my room, so I'm stuck being in here when I'd rather not be.

other than that, there isn't much to write about cuz I haven't done anything today. hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting.

lol brian. thanks.

today was alright. I got up at 12 again...*coughs* I just hate having nothing to do (except homework), nowhere to go (except downstairs)...

but yeah...I watched Remember the Titans with my brothers (it's so sad! ) and then I watched a movie called Blue Streak (I think) a few hours later with them. I missed the beginning, but it was still pretty good. next time I'll have to watch the whole thing lol.

ummm...I can't think of anything else I did today (except play my guitar and stay on here for hours, but what else is new?)...oh YEAH! I missed a switchfoot concert (which was quite close to me and quite cheap!) all because my friend and I didn't make our plans early enough to get over there. *sighs* oh well. they're california boys, they'll be back soon. besides...my mom might have thought 2 switchfoot concerts within 6 months (almost exactly...tomorrow will mark 6 months since we last saw them lol) a little excessive.

anyways. enough of my currently boring life. I'll probly come back monday complaining about all the homework I have and all that wonderful stuff, but until then...

wa aleikom esalam, Ryan. tesharaffna; ismi Sabrina. (doy ) lol I will not forget that you are cool.

lol Brian...you beat me to posting it! thank you very much...I really needed that extra push. my middle name (besides Michelle) is procrastinatoress...so I am very grateful to you!

I didn't do much today either...I slept in and missed church. *bad Sabrina!* I also ended up not going to college group. but I did get some stuff accomplished for my speech class, so I'm proud of myself. and I hung out with my super-cool cousin/little sister, so that's always good.

let's see...what do I have to write here other than "I had an uneventful day"? hmm...pretty much nothing lol. I spose I should jet, because my dad keeps yelling up the stairs for me to come down with my arabic book and practise with some of his friends. *sighs*. I normally would appreciate it, but right now I really don't want to.

until next time...
