Hey Thomas!

I enjoyed it. I think of your voice as a mixture of Cliff Young (of Caedmon's Call) with a little Scott Stapp mixed in.

That was also some tasteful guitar playing too!

I'm not a voice expert like Nix or Delaina - so I wouldn't be able to tell you how your intonation and enunciation are. But as someone with an ear for what sounds cool on radio and stuff, I can tell you that your voice sounds good.

I think fast songs are more challenging than slow songs - someday it would be cool to hear you try your hand at something up-tempo too!

Yeah, I could tell it was the CD playing... David Crowder doesn't make a great background vocalist for you...heh.

But really... You do sound pretty good like Jay said. Sounds sort of like you're trying not to get caught singing or something. I'm sure it's mainly because you're still a bit unsure of yourself and lack some confidence, but that's what I hear. Just put a little more power behind it. Sounds like you're using a good bit of air to sing, so just don't hold back next time and see how it sounds.

Hey Thomas,

I could say that you were awful and could never have a future singing, but I'd be lying. That was AWESOME man! I could tell it was the CD as well, at first though, I was like..whoa, how does he sing and make his voice echo like that...

But yeah, I think that you definately should keep singing, and maybe look into taking a few lessons just to learn breathing from your diaphragm and stuff (although you didn't sound nasally at all, so it sounds like either you are already doing that, or are really good at singing from deep inside you) .. Great job - keep it up!

I didn't know which one was you and which one was the guy on the recording. I guess thats a good thing, cause the finished product sounded pretty good.

Wow how did I miss this thread? *hehe* Good stuff Thomas. It sounded a bit raspy (sp?) toward the begining, but as the song progressed and you got to the chorus that seemed to clear up. You have a good voice man! Seriously! One other thing is that at the begining it seemed more pitchy than when the song progressed to the chorus. That may just be a posture thing that can easily be corrected, but all in all I really like your voice. Great stuff! Keep singin'!

You have some awesome potential, it is truly a God given gift. You seem hesitant in the recording, DON'T BE! Sing dude, it's great!

Yea dude, as stated just let it out. You've got kinda of a whispery rasp thing going on, but it's kinda cool. I'd like to see what you're capable of w/out the help of David Crowder in the background! Try and post some stuff of you singing and playing guitar or something, let us know what you're really capable of!
