hm....i should probably start a thread somewhere else for this, but when I sing a song dealing with god, i don't think it's right to sing it unless you're meaning it...

i wouldn't sing As the Deer just for the song...i would sing it for worship. i find singing "worship songs" just to sing feeling pretty empty, and kinda wrong

just how i feel. but i don't wanna get too offtopic

What you *could* do maybe is take a fun, catchy song by Switchfoot or Relient K or someone like that, which still conveys the message but in a way that will keep people's attention. Because, unfortunately, the slow worship-y music seems to only be appealing to those who already know Christ personally. Other people (even "young" Christians, I've noticed) tend to zone out a little bit and then you haven't accomplished what you were trying to do.
You could try "My Way or the Highway" by Relient K. Or you could do something Lifehouse. But anyways..."the rest is up to you"
