FFH Seen and Heard as Band Takes off on “Ready to Fly” Tour

FFH continues to make an impact with its national ministry efforts and inspiring music.

ARE YOU “READY TO FLY?” Sept. 11 marked the launch of FFH’s 46-city, 27-state “Ready to Fly” fall tour in support of its fourth and fastest selling album to date, Ready to Fly. A continuation of its successful spring tour that boasted sellouts and capacity crowds nationwide, the fall leg opened in Columbia, SC, and will visit Houston, Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Baton Rouge, LA, Detroit and Phoenix, among other major markets, through late November. For a complete tour itinerary, visit www.ffh.net.

“READY TO FLY” AMONG MOST ADDED AT RADIO FFH’s current single is one of the country’s most wanted and most played tunes on Christian Hit Radio, according to Radio & Records’ weekly update (Sept. 9), garnering three additional adds. The week of Sept. 3, the song joined the ranks of Michael W. Smith, Newsboys and Jody McBrayer & Jadyn Maria as one of the most added Christian Adult Contemporary songs. The powerful ballad swells with full orchestration, lilting its awesome message to, as Jeromy Deibler states, “go from fear to trust, from anxiety to relief, from life to death.”

SUMMER CAMP WITH FFH FFH’s Brian Smith spent two weeks in August as youth director for a family camp in his hometown of Lancaster, Penn. Methodist churches in Lancaster County founded Rawlinsville Camp Meeting more than 115 years ago, 30 of which Smith has taken part. 2003 commemorates his eighth year in a leadership role at the camp, facilitating activities for 6th through 12th graders. Without radio, television, or computers, the 275 campers in attendance found fellowship with Christian friends and with God. Smith comments, “We try to create an environment where teens feel welcome, where they know they’ll have fun and feel loved. But most of all, we concentrate on teaching them about Jesus and how to be in relationship with Him. This year we saw 18 students accept Jesus for the first time and numerous others recommit their lives to Christ.” Now if that isn’t giving back to the community . . .

SPEAKING OF COMMUNITY . . . The City on a Hill community extends its third and final non-seasonal offering, City on a Hill - The Gathering, Sept. 23. Featured with singer Paul Colman on “Table of the Lord,” FFH returns a third time to the series, adding its unique vocals and instrumentation to the mix.
