Ohana Means Family- short devotion I was sitting with my boys this morning watching "Lilo & Stitch" and I realized that it paints a beautiful picture of the word family. For those who haven't seen the movie, it is about a little girl that doesn't fit in and a odd-ball little alien that gets stranded on Earth.
At one point in the movie Lilo, the girl, tells her sister that they can't get rid of Stitch because he is part of their family. When her sister continues to object Lilo tells her that, "Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Ephesians 2:19 tells us that we have been made a part of God's family. Sometimes we feel like Stitch. We look around and we feel all alone, like there's no one here for us, or that no one cares.
That's when we need to remember that God promised us that He would come back for His family one day. No one will get left behind, and no one wil be forgotten.
