| I think the reason I've been tired lately is coz I'm getting sick. My head is starting to feel stopped up.

| I went to this 'thing' with mom's sunday school class tonight. A hayride type event/party at some really really f-in rich guy's house, they had a band, and a bonfire, and a hayride, etc.
This guy owns Middelton Heat and Air . . . and he's filty rich. He had, 3 old 1960's Corvettes, show cars, fancy $100K cars, a 1960's model chevy truck, restored, lowered and customized, plus a Mercedez convertable, and a Lexus that he actually drives, and a beater Chevy pickup that he drove for the hayride. ALL driveable with current licence plates and insurance, etc. Big house, ok, small house with huge garage, lots of land, tractors, big deck, hot tub, etc.
It was kinda weird actually. I've been to those type parties before, with poorer people, "hicks" and such, they all wore jeans and camo, and actually looked the part, kinda like the video for the song "Hicktown." This was rich people going out of their way to dress up "countryfied" they wore cowboy boots and stuff, and they went out and bought cowboy hats for this party :P It was really fake, city folks trying to act like country folks.
BUT, the food was good, and the music was good, and I did have a good time.
grr
my dad has been acting like I can't take care of myself all day
Well, first he told me to get off the computer and get ready to go (to the hayride party) but I was already signing off, I'm not stupid. So then I get ready and nobody else is ready to go anyway, so HE gets on the computer :P
So then everyone picks on me for wearing all-camo, which is ok, I can deal with that. Then he tells me "you're gonna hafta have shoes" (coz I wasn't wearing any) I'm not stupid, I already had my shoes and socks in the car - so next he tells me to go get a jacket, my hoodie is ALSO already in the car!
I'm not four years old! I can dress myself!!!
Ok so then we come home from this party, and they're watching the news, and they say that it's gonna rain SO he's all tellin me that I need to get my clothes in off the clothesline, which is a kind reminder I guess, but he's already been telling me to do everything that I've already done all evening. Since I brought in my clothes BEFORE we even left for the party, I found it annoying that he was trying to remind me. THEN he asks me if I rolled up the windows in my truck, duh-o, yeah I've already done that too.
I have a brain, I can think for myself, who does he think reminds me of all this sh*t when I'm at school? I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself, or living with the consequences if I forget
It's annoying

| | You scored as Batman, the Dark Knight. As the Dark Knight of Gotham, Batman is a vigilante who deals out his own brand of justice to the criminals and corrupt of the city. He follows his own code and is often misunderstood. He has few friends or allies, but finds comfort in his cause.

| Attention everyone who thinks they might want a boyfriend:
You must needs to learn to be happy being YOURSELF (single). You have to learn how to live by your self, not to rely on your boyfriend (or even your family and friends) for happiness. It's probably the hardest thing in the world to do.
When I was broke up with last January, I was like "what now??" I just didn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have someone to hang out with all the time. I spent most of the spring trying to be "my own person" independent, even of my parents. I believe my relationship now is much better off for it. Doug is older and perfectly ok with being a single adult, and I am older (now) and more ok with being a single adult. I think it takes learning how to be a single adult on your own before you can really have a good relationship with another person. If you can't then you will tend to be clingy or smothering, or childish, or at least that is what I see in several of my friends right now. They just don't know how to live when they don't have a boyfriend, they just don't know what to do when they're single.

| Doug and I camped Thurs-Sun in the Ozark National Forest, near Gunner Pool rec area. We went hunting Saturday/Sunday in the Sylamore WMA (near Blanchard Springs), but we didn't see a single deer. Not a thing! Grrrrr I hate it when hunting trips are that disappointing. Gonna hunt at Winona as soon as I can get my gear re-situated. It's gonna get cooler later in the week too, and closer to the rut, so that should help tremendously.

| Tonight, I cooked cornbread, in cast iron, in the oven - it wasn't perfect but pretty darn near close. :-D I should've used a bigger skillet or something, it came out a little too thick (tall, lol) and I don't have any bacon grease (hey, I don't cook much...gimme a break) but it was still good!

| Yesterday after my WLit class, Doug came over, as usual. We went out to the range to see how my gun is gonna shoot since the Arkansas Gun Traders people worked on it - it's at least as good as my aim, so I'm good. After that, we went to my apartment to change into hunting clothes and headed out to Winona. We saw tow doe on the road, but nothing we could shoot. This has been a very disappointing season so far.
On the ride home, Doug slept most of the way. We stopped off at WalMart to pick up some DrPepper though. We were just kinda chillin in the parking lot, then he started hugging me - and before ya know it he popped the question!!!!!! He was just like "Will you marry me?" and I was like "Of course I will!....- Wait!? Did you really just ask that?" It was funny, I was shocked. It took me a while for it to really sink in. I'm still not entirely sure that it has. I'm getting MARRIED!!! WOW.
Probably in May, or sometime next summer that is. May would be good so I could just move straight into another Conway apartment instead of moving home and then back here. I got plenty of time to plan that though. I'm just.........excited!
