| I don't think it matters, as long as you give thanks for God's blessings sometime.

| I don't say grace at all before I eat with my family. I don't think it matters, though. |

| I agree that prayer anytime is fine, but I usually pray before meals and before I go to sleep at night. You know, the classic times

| amen to that. But yeah, God doesn't care when we talk to Him, He just wants us to do it sometime. But I hate the fact that praying is just a ritual for some people. They do it just because they're supposed to, or because the food will give you a stoamch ache or something. I don't like it when prayers become ritual. It ticks me off. But pray always and always thank God for His blessings.

Although... perhaps it will be our face to His feet. |

| I think most Christians agree with that statement. It's not when, but that you do. I would add why though. People pray just to get stuff a lot. That's not what God wants any more than just the rituals.

| I pray at the "classic times" but lately I've forgottten to pray before meals - I forget at work when I only have 15 minutes to buy food, eat it and use the restroom (stressful -for a so-called break).
In all honesty, Jesus really never *told* us to pray before meals, but He did set an example to . . .

| I usually pray before bed because i like being able to talk to God about my day and to pray for the next day.

| are you asking what the BIBLE says about this? it say's we need to pray without ceesing.. but gives exaples of people blessing the food BEFORE they eat, not after. (if you'd like references for any of that, just ask.

| I think prayer over food for most people is lopsided. We usually just ask God a laundry list of things (bless the food, be with us) instead of giving thanks for something that we're probably going to really enjoy.

| That's very true. Prayer for some people has become nothing short of, "God do this, God do that." It's supposed to be talking to Him, not treating him like he's a machine (Like when we say, "God, I'll do this and you give me what I want) or like Santa Claus.

| yeah...there's this little thing people pray with..
ACTS
Adoration
Confession
Thanksgiving
Supplication
I learned it at this retreat. that helps...first you start off by saying with your heart how God is cool, then you confess your sins, then you give thanks, then you ask what you need
