Hey dude, you posted in my blog, so I thought I'd return the favour... I see you're thinking of getting another gat or something. I tell ya I love the explorer body as well. It's just so MASSIVE (comparitively =]). I'd go with a hardtail on that guitar tho, coz a floyd just looks our of place on that thing =] Are you a floyd man? Or a hard-tail kinda guy?
What guitar do you own at the moment? Or is it guitars?
I have an Ibanez RG270, it's pretty crap, the trem posts need to be replaced, the knife edge needs to be filed sharp again, I need to replace the trem strings, I think I need a truss rod adjustment, need to replace the frets or at least get them filed, need to adjust the action, and I'd like to replace the pick-ups, and put in an edge pro trem in instead of the one I have... anyway, hehe.

I'm currently unplugged. All I have is my Fender acoustic/electric. I don't play lead, so I have no use for a trem. Even when I had a Strat I took it off. It just gets in my way. My last electric was an Epiphone Les Paul Custom that I bought from a friend of mine. It was a decent guitar but I couldn't get comfortable with it. Of course I was playing through a Roland Jazz Chorus. That probably wasn't the best amp for that guitar. A Tele sounded sweet through it though.

Man I would've loved a Jazz Chorus.
So what are your musical ventures at the moment? Any bands or anything (you can still be in a band and be unplugged I've learned =] Just need to borrow a mic and you're in there =])?

I am currently in search of a project. The last band I was in was one of those nu-metal things with some teenagers from church. It didn't last but a year because our guitarist decided to abandon metal and go punk, he has since forsaken punk and turned emo. Oh well.
I mostly sing but I picked up guitar for a band I started a few years ago. The link in my sig will take you to a site with three songs I wrote for it. They aren't professional but they are at least recorded.
I mostly lead worship at church now, but would love to find a guitarist to collaborate with.
If you've heard Crowded House, you know the sound I'm naturally drawn to. Intelligent guitar pop. There isn't enough of that in Christian music.

Oh man! That's quite surprising... were you the singer? It's just surprising that teenagers would let a 30 y.o. in the band =] Coz you know how teens can be.

That's cool, well if I'm ever in your area, hehe, I'll look you up =]
Yeah I understand what you mean about that sound. Good description. Yeah, thats one of the reasons I don't listen to christian music... it's just not written well =]

I tell you what. I'll dig around and see if there are any lyrics needing music. If I find anything worthy, I'll throw it your way and let you play with it, if you're interested.
But now, I must sleep. It is 10:34 PM here and I have to get up at 5AM and go to work. I'll get back with you on these things tomorrow.
And by the way, thanks for the highly enjoyable conversation.

Okay, it's now afternoon and I have done absolutely nothing. I woke up at 5AM feeling horrible, so I called in sick. Then I went back to bed and slept till 10:30. After getting up and stumbling around I have decided that I don't feel much better. I did post in a couple of people's thingies here and I wrote a new devotion on that board. Some of the people writing those things are really good, I feel like mine are puny next to some of theirs, but it's the thought that counts, not our eloquence in sharing it.
I'm going to go get some lunch and work on my novel. I've been inspired lately and I don't want to let that disappear before I crank out a few more pages.
Just in case there are any of you NC stalkers out there, take a minute and tell me who you're favorite bands/groups/artists are. I enjoy talking music and telling people that I think their favorite band sucks.

Okay, this is the third time I've tried this. I've already had to delete two posts due to failed attempts. Hold your breath....

Talking

IT WORKED, IT WORKED, IT WORKED !!!!
I'm as happy as bunch of barking cockroaches.

I still would have prefered the picture to be the actual link, but I'll take what I can get. If any of you computer geniuses would like to help an old geezer figure out how to be more cool, there might be a nickel or two in it for ya.

It seems like the older I get, the more stupid I get. I thought that wisdom was supposed to come with age but it sure ain't happening with me. I was supposed to get old and sit on the porch and have all you young whippersnappers come to ME for advice. Instead, I've got to beg a bunch of folks who weren't even born when I graduated, to teach me how to put a picture of some stinkin' roaches up here. Life just isn't fair....

I'm gonna stop pouting for now, it makes us North Carolinians look bad on the boards. I'm gonna go get a cheeseburger and sulk.

i think there is kinda a graph of how smart u r.
when u r smartest it is middle age, then u gradually go down hill until u die. so, for example, u might get really stupid at age 15, which means u will probably die at 30 (just a guess). thats probably not too good news for u, but i do what i can.

here is my graph
W| _-----_
I | / \
S | / \
D | / \
O | / \
M| / \
| / \
|/__________________\
Birth Death

wow that rivals my school work. just hope ur not going downhill

p.s. this is just me being stupid. none of this is scientifically proven
p.p.s. i hope u knew that before reading this.

I would probably fall right off the bottom of that graph whether it was serious or not. I did get smarter in some areas though, so I guess I'm not a total loser.
