Seems to me that with 3 children and diabetes, you could make an ok living on welfare. I know people who do. It is a whole lifesytle for them.

You should be able to get your own place and I do not understand why you have not done that by now.

Also, when I was in the hospital, I had 3 middle aged male nurses and only 1 of them was gay. I think you can become a nurse in only 2 years. Lots of people are making mid-life career changes into nursing. It is encouraged. I think that Christianity is a good foundation for being a nurse. You like all of that blood and guts stuff.

This really made me laugh. It's actually a very interesting thought, ff, but it also entertained me.

We have looked into some programs to assist with housing but for some reason, we don't qualify for most of them. That being said, you can't rent anything without income. Robin had an interview with a bank yesterday and I'm constantly looking for a job. We're trying to be patient and trust God one this...but it's not easy.

I thought about nursing school years ago. After watching my Mom go through it I decided that it wasn't for me. I have been thinking about going back and getting a degree in education, but I owe the government a little over $25,000 for this last little educational experience. I also owe the remainder of the second mortgage on the house we lost to foreclosure several years ago. That's in the neighborhood of $17,000. All of my current debts are way behind due to our lack of steady income and I just can't seem to find a job doing anything. I'm currently about $55,000 in the hole. The good thing is that we don't have any credit card debt. Even if we could manage to get a place to stay (we're talking $450 a month minimum) we would have a difficult time paying the utilities. There are ways to play the system and have all of that covered, but it essentially turns you into a slave. I don't particularly want to be enslaved to the federal government any more than I already am. I'm trusting that God will handle this, I'm just frustrated with His timing. I really don't understand it at all.

Hey, man. Don't give up. Keep doing what you know to do. God is faithful that has promised. Seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness and all these things you need will come to you. One thing that has helped me is I pray for the Lord to show me someone who may need Him and pray for and share the Love of God with him/her. Maybe a neighbor or other in your surrounding, or even in acquaintances. That's sort of what Job did when his situation was turned around after praying for his friends. Anyway, I am praying for you.

By the way, how ironic that your Mom was a nurse or is still. My Mom was a nurse. You made me think about what you and I have in common. We both have moms (or had in my case since my mom passed away years ago) who were nurses and we both grew up or lived next to a paper manufacturer. Both are geezers and share some of the same likes in music. And the list could go on. Strange huh?

You missed the obvious similarity.

We're both ridiculously good looking.

I have been inspired by a post over in Aaron's blog (Ted Logan). He made a list of some albums that are important to him. I am going to put together my list and post it later tonight.

I saw the group No Doubt a few nights ago on channel 101 of Directv. Man did they look wierd, especially the drummer. He reminded me of Heath Ledger portrayal of the Joker, lol.

The church in West Virginia called me back yesterday. The elders are meeting this week and hopefully they'll decide that they want to continue the discussions with me.
