i generally lead worship at my youth group, so it's mostly praise and worship songs. but occasionally a friend and i bust out electrics and do more contemporary stuff (jars or clay, sonicflood, ffh, third day, and what not) to lead a CCM nite of worship for a change.

I'm one of two bass players in a very large church. I am extremely involved with the worship teams there. I also find time to play in a Christian alternative rock band named Total Eclipsed (as in Totally Eclipsed by the Son). We do stuff like POD, Skillet, Third Day, etc. In addition I'm going to start gigging in a buddies acoustic coffee house band and I also have two recording projects I've been asked to lay down bass tracks for.

I have a full time job and a VERY understanding wife.

Peace!

Hrmm...I play everything...punk, ska, rock...anything I can learn I play. But as far as performance I mostly do parise and worship, but I always infuse different guitar styles...especially heavier rock styles lately...i dunno why

hmm....

that's too hard man.... I lead praise, I listen to plus one when I'm at home, I listen to rap when I'm cruising and I play punk and Rock..... I like a median of all of it... You know what I mean.. It has an acoustic intro then kicks into some pop in teh verses and for the bridge and chorus it's puck rock.. Well.... after more thought that wouldn't be a good thing. I dont' know if anyone else is the way I am...

It's hard to find really good ROCK music on the Christian scene today, it's mostly punk and ska if not pop and easy listening. We need some good guitar driven rock, DC Talk's Jesus Freak is my favorite album ever. Of any music. Because it lets the guitar be known.

Peace,
CHRVH

I totally love the guitar. My priorities in life are:
God
My self
my wife
my son
Guitar

I try to better myself at guitar every chance I get. It's not about speed or technicality anymore, it's about expression, worship, tone and a mix of rockin' out. My favorite guitarists who inspire me are:

Trey Anastasio(Phish)
John Petrucci(Dream Theater)
Joe Satriani
Paco de Lucia
John Williams
and a whole bunch of others.
My current fovorite Christian rock song right now is Cane by Goliath.

That's where I'm coming from.
