Might want to look into a Carvin SX series amps. Incredibly good solid states. I play a Carvin SX-200H (head + crate speakers). It sounds the exact same as a Peavy Classic 30, except for the fact the SX kills it in verstatility. Distortion tones are the same, so are cleans (but the SX seems to be a little bit better on playing clean loudly).
