| My Weirded Drawings These are my messed up wacked peices of crap...I mean art. One is some kittens, one is my chalk drawing of a tree, one is a semi-nude fairy, and one is an awful self-potrait. enjoy..or at least survive.

Your shading is good, but your alignments are a wee bit off. Permission to give advice?

| Interesting
I didn't know you drew......I can't
I'm just not artistic, when I try it becomes too "mathmatical" and "logical" and just not "art" - the closest I can get is in my photography

#7 | | Crushy McSternum | Ok... here goes. A thousand apologies if any of this comes out wrong.
First picture:
Semi-nude. Good, it shows you know your proportions. The detail is wonderful, but the shaping of the face is a bit indistinct, and the lines are way too thick for your level of lineart-work. Every drawn with a 0.5mm mechanical pencil? That might fit your basic style.
Second:
Again, excellent detailing. The eyes are quite expressive, and the hair is GREAT. But again, your alignment and lines kinda jumble it up.
Third:
Whoo! One of the better feline charcoal pieces I've seen yet, and I see a lot of cat art at other boards. Your anatomy is AWESOME, and basic composition is... sweeeet. But the larger cat's head is a little mishapen; you may wanna try pronouncing the snout a bit more next time, and maybe have the larger cat's head in front, smaller in back.
Fourth: Cool. Your trees..... are awesome. I have nothing to critique on it, except maybe that you let off of the detail pedal this time. But it gives it a very surreal/Narnia-ish feeling. I like.
Overall:
Heads: Try the old oval/lines thing. Do the basic shape of a head, and the jawline most especially. Then stick the ears on, and make sure they're level. Then do two lines, ear to ear, one on the top, one on the bottom. Then a line down the center of what would be the face: take it from there, and ALWAYS add the hair last. This gives a good layered effect, and prevents the eyes from being quite so nonuniform.
Shoulders: Good, good. A bit broad and leveled, but good. Try looking at all those stupid aveno ads in magazines for good examples of more feminine shoulders, or (dare I say it?) Victoria's Secret. I used the aveno ad method, but since you're a lady, you could handle a lingerie catalogue better than a 15-year old guy.
Noses: Very good detailing as usual, but your alignment is a problem here as well. The suggested line down the middle (mentioned above) should help in that area.
*deep breath*
*exhale*
There. I don't think anything came out wrong, either! That's a first!
Good work, and keep on a-practicin'!!! I look forward to seeing more.

| Victoria's secret is an evil place/thing I just look through ads.
Heya, thanks for all the advice, I'll try and apply it.

| Wow! Those make my best look like crap... I like the self portrait. It's very beautiful. And the kittens are so cute! I like the faerie.... but it's not my favorite. The tree was great!

Naturally, the bigger the tool, the bigger the lines it makes, and this can severly damage your lineart, as well as finish-work. With protraital picures, it's usually better to draw big, and use a LOT of expression in the eyes, which was still conveyed in yours, but they're kind of muddled by the boldness of the lines.
Does that explain it, or do I need another analogy?

| No, these are pretty crapified. The self portrait I find ugly, mostly cause it's me I'm glad you like the kittens, and the tree I like those. Quote: |
