| Everyday Rockstar. Hey everyone. For those who do not know me my name is Wes. I used to be on the boards a while ago as, icjdafuzz. However, I decided to get a new board name. So I have started over, lol. Well, to start things off, I'm 15 (turning 16 in November, yay!) This Thursday I start school, I'm going into my sophmore year in high school. I play tennis on our JV team at Robert E. Lee Highschool. Just a few things that I like to do in my spare time. I love music, I do not believe in life without God or music. Some of my favorite bands include; Sanctus Real, Relient K, DC Talk, Toby Mac, Jars of Clay, Caedmon's Call, Switchfoot, Third Day, OC Supertones, Five Iron Frenzy, and also Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Darrell Evans, and a couple others :-p. I love them all. As for myself, I play guitar and bass. I picked up guitar about 2 years ago and have taught myself and have gone a long way from what other people have told me, I mainly play Accoustic guitar, but I do have an electric guitar that my friend gave me for my birthday, (he got it for 35 bucks in a pawnshop in town and i'm in the process of repairing it). I also play Accoustic Bass (upright, classical) in the Varsity Orchestra at my High School and I play electric bass and sing vocals along with my youth leader in the Youth Band we have in my youth group. As for now, I have to finish up my summer reading, so I'm out. Leave me some messages and I'll post back later! God bless everyone!

| hey everyone! Just sittin here talkin to one of my very good friends! Jessie Morgan. It's kind of weird, because her last name is the same last name of my girlfriend, Laurel Morgan. Yet Jess and Laurel are in no way related. So I consider her a sister :P. Lol. I'll tell you about Laurel later on, but for right now I'm just typin for the fun of it. Lol. Dashboard Confessional put out a new CD today; A Mark A Mission A Brand A Scar. It's way awesome. If you have heard any of his other songs this album is definatly different because there is more electric guitar than normal and it's all full band. Most people like his Accoustic days when it was just him and his guitar, but I like the full-band just as much. Chris rocks, and he has an awesome passion for music. I wouldn't call it christian music, but not horrible heavy death metal guitar .
Lol. I played my youth leader in tennis today. I dont think there is ONE sport that he is not good at lol. But Jake is such a role model in my life. About 3 weeks ago I recieved my calling to go into Ministry, as a youth minister and I'm looking VERY VERY foward to meeting it head on and living my life for Christ the best possible way I can.
Tomorrow me and my friend, Hudson, are going to go play some guitar at the local starbucks in our small town of 80,000. We just got the starbucks about... 7 months ago. So it's the cool place to hang out in town lol. We are celebrating the last day of summer for ourselves
because we all start school on thursday *sigh*
Well I'm out for now. Later everyone! God bless you!

| Good morning! Ya know, you have really good taste in music.
That's cool that you taught yourself how to play the guitar. I'm been working on it for years now but I lack the motivation or something.
Ok, I am confused. What is today? Is it Thursday or Friday? My computer is telling me it's Thursday but everything else points to it being Friday. Anyway, how was your first day of school (and maybe your second too... if it is Friday)?

| Haha, the consequences of adding a link to my blog in my buddy info. Unfortunately, Port over here can't even spell: Quote:
chauf·feur ( P ) Pronunciation Key (shfr, sh-fûr)
n.
One employed to drive a private automobile.
| Haha, Just messin. Port, what I casually call him, otherwise known as Kevin, is an awesome guy. He's a bit older than me, but his size makes up for my age. ( ) Regardless; yes, he does drive me around and we have a rockin time together in his '95 Maxima listening to 'Sugarcoat It' by DC Talk. Anyways, Kevin is a GREAT guy. Loves God and has the biggest compassion for Christ that I have ever seen in a person. Ever. We have known each other since we were little, our dad's work together at the same hospital and I can trust a lot of things in Port. . God has so much planned for that kid it is not even funny
Until later, God bless everyone. May He bless you and keep you.

| For those of you who don't know, and for those of you who know (let me reiterate). Littlelita06 was Laurel Morgan. As Jeni had mentioned earlier, she is my girlfriend. Not just any girl. The girl. It's amazing how wonderfully awesome this girl is. Lol. We've been together for 11 months now. And I daresay that it has been the best 11 months of my entire life so far. Some people may wonder, how can a relationship in highschool mean so much to you? Well, I would say that it's not only our relationship that has rocked. It's both of our love and compassion for Christ in everything that we do together. For those who don't know, I met her when she moved to Tyler,Texas from Denton,Texas (a suburb of Dallas, for the Non-Texans). Slowly but surely, I began to like her and I asked her to homecoming about, 13 months ago. You can ask any of my friends how excited she was when I asked her.
Anyways, on another note. This girl rocks. She has an AWESOME taste in music which is VERY similar to mine. Toby Mac I would have to say is her absolute Fav. And I give him kudo's for his amazing amazing writing skills and musical ability. Though, I argue there are a number of better christian musicians out there, Toby Mac has a league of his own that he heads.
Anyways, yea. I'm on my laptop. Which BTW, is new to me yet old to technology. P2 CPU, 128 MB Ram, for those who know what I'm talking about. If you get the jist of that, then you know how old it is. Big Bulky.. anyways. I stole my sisters wireless reciever and, 'borrowed' it for the night . Lol.
Oh yea, one more thing. Lol. One of these days, I'm thinkin about getting a cheap cheap microphone and recording a couple songs on my git-fiddle (What you might like to call a guitar). Depending on my music writing adventures in the next month or two, it may be my own work; else it will be the work of some other great musician. Nevertheless, if you have any appreciation for Praise&Worship music, You're going to love it. I love nothing more than leading worship and watching people my age and people of all ages come alive for God. It's truly an amazing sight. I can tell you more about what I can see myself doing in 10 years, but that's a different story. Lol. I can't get enough of that smily.
As for now, God bless everyone. And for the 'Si Habla Espanol'...
A Dios. Mi amigos. (to God. My friends.)

| Tonite we had our first FCA meeting at my high school. It rocked. Lol. I'm on the FCA staff with a couple of my great friends that go to school with me. Most of them are upper-classmen and I'm only a sophmore, but it's still cool. . We had the most people ever come tonite than in the last 4 years ! Lol! It rocked. Probably more than 100 people.
Lol. Tonite when I got back from FCA (BTW, for those who don't know it stands for ' Fellowship of Christian Athletes'), and I was listening to the TobyMac Re:mix cd. Whoa. It was actually the first time I had sat down and listened to one of the songs. It was 'Love is in the House [NW Remix]' Lol! It's pretty amazing! Check it out
Well I'm tired. And I have school tomorrow . So i'm out early! God bless everyone!
A dios, mi amigos.

| You know. I have one thing to say really. God Rocks. I mean right now, I'm on a high, and It rocks. I'm just sittin here on my computer listening to some music, oh which I will post the lyrics later in the post because they rock SO much. Just, wanted to let everyone know how amazing God can be. And how quick He can change your life. How long it takes to turn that 180 degrees right back to Him.
Lol. I grew up in a christian family from the beginning. Went to church ever sunday, and even went to vacation bible school every summer. I was a church kid. However, come around 6th grade. I got into a bunch of trouble. I didn't smoke, drink, whatever. What I meam by trouble is slightly confused. That's what I was. I had no idea what, or where my life was taking me at the time. First off, I'm methodist. So during my 6th grade year, I got confirmed and baptised into my church. Unfortunately, I don't remember a single thing from any of that for some odd reason.
The next really important thing that happened in my life, was that my church got a new Youth Minister. Jake Cole. For those of you that don't know him. He rocks. I mean, if he could see what I am saying now, he means a lot me than any of the words I'm typing to me. He's like my second father. And one of my closest friends. Basically my role model and so much more. When He came to my church, I realized how much God has made an impact on this dude. I mean, if I told is life story, which I probably don't even know half of it(despite the nights me and him and some other people have stayed up on trips just talking), it is simply and utterly amazing. He even actually gave me the motivation to learn how to play guitar, and provided me with one for about 6 months. Which I still havent thanked him enough for .
Anyways, starting 8th grade; God really showed me how to live my life in the best way to follow and imitate Christ. That's when I got my calling into Ministry. Like what I said about Jake being my role-model? He is. I think it would be SO awesome to be a youth minister after I graduate from college. I love workin with youth, and I love God.
Lol. Yea. That's a Little about my life and How God has changed it. He rocks. So much. Well, it's late, So i'm out! Here's two things that have really rocked my world lately. Switchfoot - On Fire
And everything inside,
You know there's more than what you've heard,
There's so much more than conversations,
Filled with empty words.
and Your on fire when He's near you.
Your on fire when He speaks.
Your on fire burning at, these mysteries.
Bahah! How tight is that. It's from the album, Meant to Live, by switchfoot. Get it if you haven't heard it . One more thing, it's pretty big but totally worth it, and totally true:
'Foundations can't be moved without destroying a building. If the foundation of this building right now was moved what would happen to the building? It'd collapse! Now you can move the building and put it on another foundation; but that foundation, it's there. Because foundations are secure. Because this nation, we know what the foundation is, its all over the Constitution, it's all over the walls of the Jerfferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, it's written through-out history. Regardless of what the politicitans believe, regardless of what you and I atest to, truth is truth. The founding fathers built it on the truth of the Word of God. Everything about the laws of this land were taken from the scripture in the Old Testament. They were right from, the Old Testament, the books of law. And so you can't move away from the foundation without destroying the nation. And so this whole debate and arguement over what's truth and what's not truth, the only truth that founded this nation. We left a country of tyranny, for religious freedom to worship. And God's not afraid of who, or how you worship. Because He knows, sooner or later, if you're TRULY seeking. You'll see Him. God's not insecure, He's confident. And so we need to come to Him, see Him how He is. That's true worship. Because in the midst of that, all securities are made clear. And all fears are relieved.'
God bless everyone! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful labor day weekend! And remember! God loves you! So smile!

#13 | | Guest | Hey this is Laura! Well, first off Wesley is one of the coolest people i know...he totally rocks my socks off! Yea cause see i was really down the other day and just out of the blue he I/Med me and was like 'Your an awesome person. God's been telling me to say that.' And at that point i was so overwhelmed that God was there and He was caring about me enough to tell someone to tell me they cared about me, that I broke down and started to cry. My life was so centered around earthly things, but Wesley helped me realize God is there and He DOES care and that there are so many more important things. That simple comment from Wes really changed my life, though weird as it sounds, and drew me closer to God! I know that joy does not come from earthly things, but from loving Jesus Christ, and sharing His love with others. This morning (8-28) we had a worship and devotion thing at school in the courtyard (organized by Wesley)(he played guitar...hes AWESOME!) and I felt so happy that we were out showing people the love of God through just singing and listening to the Word of God. Anyways! Don't ever be afraid to let God's light shine through you...He will give you the strength to get you through ANY circumstance! To end off... Wesley is one cool kid, and his walk with Christ is so awesome, so get to know him! haha Thanks Wes!! :-D | |
