My teacher was very....ummm....hands-on, and I'm not a very touchy-feely sort of person, and I hated when he'd position me on stage instead of telling me how to stand adn stuff. plus he repeatedly threatened to fail me in the class because I skipped a few rehersals for orchestra related things. Then he gave me an A- a quarter and when I asked him to show me my grade: it was a 99%. He said that he gave me the A- because he wanted to see if I could push myself to become a more outgoing person and such.

Since he left we've been through a hit parade of directors and such. It's sad
