By the way, I think that the REAL story of this tour wasn't Lance and #5... after all, Miguel Indurain won 5 consecutive. It's not like what Lance did was anything new....

But his former teammate, American rider Tyler Hamilton not only WON A STAGE, but finished FOURTH OVERALL... This might not seem all that impressive until you realize that he rode almost the whole 2000+ mile tour with a broken collarbone. BROKEN. COLLARBONE. The guy is a stinking BEAST.

Tyler's a stud. He really showed his toughness this year. He may even challenge Lance in some up coming tours. Like I said earlier, there are some riders on the tour that are up and coming that will give Lance a real run for his money next year.

I'll bet that when/if he wins his sixth, he'll retire. This year seems to have taken a lot out of him.

cycling is his life, and he's in his early 30's. Why would he retire? YOu know, most of these guys go 10 years or more.
