| Tux, your Scottie is so adorable! Is he a Welsch Corgy (sp?)? My aunt has a 6 week old Welsch and he kindof looks like that. |

| From left to right:
1. Smokey is my oldest cat and has no front claws.
2. Lily is my house kitty. She is almost a year old.
3. Obie is a little younger than Lily. Obie is the gray one in photo 3.
4. Clara is Obie's mom. Those two showed up at my house one day last summer and haven't left since. Clara is the striped one in photo 3.
5. Calico kitty just showed literally on my doorstep a couple weeks ago. She is very young and still has no name.

So really, "What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
It's quite simple:
Drag on a body in a fluid is:
D = 1/2 (Cd*pi*r^2*rho*Vo^2) Cd = coefficient of drag of the swallow pi = 3.1415... r = radius of bird cross-section (approximating as a circle) rho = viscosity of air Vo = velocity For steady state flight, D (drag) = T (thrust), so:
------------------------------
| Vo = sqrt(T/Cd*pi*r^2*rho) |
------------------------------ |
