So, all you guys who want to argue how it is bad to listen to this song, please, I beg you - Read the article, and re-read the thread. You will discover that you have nothing as a solid base for your claims about the song.

We posted links to this article a few times already because of people's ignorance. I respect claims like this, but only when they have some base, other than stereotypic "ol' grannie told me" stories.

I agree with the fact the the song is about "loss of innocense" as Don Henley as stated, but i really dont think its a song of satan or anything like that, and playing its chords isnt wrong as the song uses common chord progressions which many songs use.

I stumbled apon this page by accident, and I must say that everyone in here is wasting his/her time. I am christian, but I am not supprised that more people are not christian after meeting people like you. You break down every detail of anything you can, looking for the work of satan. What I see here is a modern day witch hunt. I look at this page and I see a bunch of people claiming to be christian, who are fighting over a song. When a writer writes a song, it is open for interpretation by every person that listens to it. No one will see it in the same way and the way that a person interprets it tells you something about that person. When I read this page, the ones who are the most negative are those who are claiming to be christian. I am amazed at how preoccupied you "christians" are with satan. If something doesn't fit your ideas, then it is automatically "the work of satan." This egocentrism is something I can do without. Post responses to this comment if you wish, but I will not see them. I have wasted enough of my time commenting on this. I lost 10 good minutes more of my life reading this trash. I will not be returning to this page.
