| mission trips to south and central america tell your stories here!!! recent or not so recent misson trip stories.
I went to Guatemala in 2000 and had a blast, we went to orphanages, a little AIDS hospital, we went to a kids camp where we told stories, played in skits to tell about Jesus, we visited the slums (not quite the dump, but close) with clown suits on and had so much fun taking pictures with the kids to give to the parents so they have a picture. We went to a church in Nebaj where there was a feeding centre also and did our skits there, we went to a feeding center in Guatemala city and took more pictures there...it was soo much fun and I would go back in a minute!

| i went to nicaragua with some guys from my church over spring break in april. it was an awesome trip, and it was very eye-opening, especially when we went to the city dump, where hundreds of people live. everything down there is SOO different. like the driving. if there's somebody in your way, you don't stop unless you absolutely absolutely really have to. otherwise you just keep honking the horn and hoping they will get out of the way.

| I went to Peru last summer and the summer before that, and I just got back from Venezuela last week.
I had a blast on all the trips, it was especially cool to see the diference between the two countries and the two different teams (both teams to Peru were pretty similar, but to Venezuela was a lot different).
If you're bored or something you can read about the trip in my offsite blog http://gustin.thevybe.com/?p=87 (Monday through Thursday at noonish) http://gustin.thevybe.com/?p=88 (Thursday afternoon and Friday) http://gustin.thevybe.com/?p=89 (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) |
