will game emulators screw up my computer?

It's fine now, but after i got a game emulator, it screwed up my computer. I had to reboot my whole computer. It wouldn't attack my disk drive would it? My CD Burner drive will read like music cd's and programs, but it won't read CD-R's or CD-RW's. Would a game emulator cause it?

Only if you downloaded a virus along with the emulator...or installing the program could have messed up your registry.

Otherwise, nothing should really mess up. Unless you're in fullscreen mode and you alt-tab out of it. I used to have problems with my ZSNES emulator when I would do that but that was really all.

I wouldnt think the the emulator would mess with youre hard drive.........its a internal program that uses rom's stored on the hard drive.....unless the games itself are stored on a cd......
