| check it out! Anberlin anberlins "Blueprints for the black market" is a really awesome cd! It's really energetic. And the sounds of their songs vary, which is good, it doesn't get boring. Also, I love to hear a band who's singer can sing in tune! It has simple but effective melodic electric guitar stuff going on. And incorporates some acoustic with the electric, like piano and acoustic guitar. I guess alot of their songs are quite hard rock/emo with some plain 'ol pop punk for good measure. Alltogether I give it 2 thumbs up. |

#3 | | Guest | Anberlin-Blueprints_for_the_Blackmarket This is an extremely good cd. I first heard the band on X2003, and bought the cd ASAP. I was by no means disappointed. They have just what I like in a band- great singing, ABSOLUTELY SWEET GUITAR TALENT, and a VERY sweet sound. Not your average band. I would describe this cd as Guitar-Driven-Emo/Rock.
Once again I would like to comment on the guitar talent-
The track Ready Fuels has an amazing guitar solo, along with a few other very amazing solos.
This is one of my favorite cds. Definitely 10 out of 10

#4 | | Guest | Anberlin - Blueprints for the Black Market Well, this cd is pretty good, but not quite as good as I was hoping. I had heard "Change the World" on a sampler and loved it and I saw them in concert and they totally rocked (check them out live if you get a chance). So I was really anxious to pick up the cd. I finally got it and I like most of it, but not all of it. I wish they played more of there heavier alt-rock sound instead of venturing into emo a little bit. Personally, I don't particularily like the singer's voice all that much when he sings really high, but at least he's in tune and thats a good thing. The guitar is good. I don't particularily like the small electronic clips on songs such as "Autobahn". My favorite songs are "Readyfuels", "Change the World", and "Glass to the Arson." Overall a pretty good album, but not my favorite right now. | |

| I really like this CD. I've been listening to it non-stop since i got it for Christmas. Anberlin sounds, to me, a lot like Thrice. I think that the band should focus more on the harder songs, a la "Glass to the Arson" the best song on the album, rather than the more mellow stuff. Their cover of "Love Song" by the Cure is great. Much better than 311's version. |

I think the vocals are way to "wanna-be boybandish" on a couple songs and some of the guitar licks seem a little too familiar in a couple songs. All in all, they're good, but need a little change. I give it an 8.
