Ok...
Enough of this scannerless gig! I'm doing CG stuff from now on!
Just kidding.
But here is a few of the two-minute pieces I've done with Paint Shop Pro 7. Now, they're just doodles, with no inspiration, creativity, or even any effort.
The first one is... uh... I think it's a sunset. Not really sure, really.
The second is... well... a bunch of wierd-colored flames and... well... an eye.
Enjoy.

Ok... HERE's the good shtuff.
I did this one by combining about 14 layers of colors, and different versions of a sketch I did back when my wacom worked. Then I refined the sketch, toyed with coloring, added some text (Shade of Beauty is at the top, then Am I Dreaming? at the botom. ) and voila! A little picture with an overall impressive assortment of 68 different layers.

Special Note: Interesting. My best work comes when I'm on the verge of tears and listening to My Friend of Misery.

Awww, thanks. I actually did it on my computer, but it took a long, LONG freaking time. Then I smoothed out the edges and sketchiness with various blurs and layer filters, played with the colors, etc.

Thanks Kati! I'm afraid I'll never learn to draw my favorite animal (Tiger) like you can, though.

I downloaded the font from... uh... I don't remember where, but I found it with a google search for Japanese Fonts. It's called kata. It translates english letters (and hence words) into the Japanese equal. It's alot of fun. My favorite thing to say with it is Ja matta ne; 'like, bye'.

Ok. This drawing (pen) is by a buddy of mine at AnimeNation. I decided to try my hand at surrealistic coloring.

Okie-dippy. Here's some more pieces that I colored, but didn't draw. I just... spruced them up a bit by clarifying the lines, and darkening them.

The first one (catgirl with a sucker in her mouth) is for a gal I know at AnimeNation. A buddy of mine drew it, and I colored it for her.)
The second one isn't yet finished. I have to finish his wings, and add the rest of the blood, and finish up the shading and stuff. He's a vampire warrior, drawn by yet another pal at AnimeNation.

Edit: Note; Feel free to critique anything in this thread. Brutal, soft, I don't care. I just like constructive feedback on anything I do.

Ok... I finished the vampire grunt. Then I gave him a black background, and toyed around to try and make it look like he was part of an ancient romanian meural or something. *shrug*
Didn't work, but it got an interesting effect.
