Well this thread is asking the question whether anyone has had a chance to buy/play the new yamaha tyros. I have been playing a yamaha psr2000 and when I got mine i was amazed at the sound/capability. But now after sing the tyros in store the other day it's making it very hard to go back to my 2000. I'll have to though cause I don't have the $7000Aus to pay for it.

Did you ever try looking online for the tyros? I can't give exact quotes for each music site, but I definately know that it's less than $7000, probably in the $3-5000 area. Anyway, music123.com is the cheepest place I've found. And, a good alternative to tyros is the Motif synth. I don't have one yet, but they're loaded with enough effects to tweak the sounds to way past real. Or a PSR-9000 pro--another expensive board...
