| The Last Temptation of Christ The movie so controversial that it was banned from Chile and can't be shown on public television in Bulgaria. The mention of my me watching it turned a bunch of people's heads. Plenty of stones have been hurled at this film, but whom of you has actually seen it? |

| Balls of steel you have for starting this. I predict it will turn into a 20+ pager and attract the Theology giants. I have seen it and enjoyed it. It's a "what if" situation. |

| As I mentioned in the other thread, if happygirl questioned my morality for watching the simpsons, I can't wait to see what happens in this thread. Anyway, my vast popularity thrives on controversy. The pressure of such acceptance was too much. I need this thread to piss people off. |

I remember people blindly boycotting Universal when the film first released. Martin Scorsese is a professed Christian, btw. |

| He seriously considered the priesthood and entered seminary in 1956. He felt his creative channels being pulled towards film and the rest is history |

| From imdb.com:
Plot Outline: At his execution, Jesus is tempted by an alluring image of a peaceful and pleasant life with Mary Magdelene to try to get him to refuse the sacrifice he must make. |

| It portrays Jesus as very human and less than perfect. He questions, he doubts, he mentions hating others. It also kind of makes Judas kind the hero of the story. . You'd have to see the movie or I'd have to tell you the whole movie for you to understand. |

| The youth leader of our church saw this film, and he was gonna show it to some of us, but never got around it.
I don't know if he owns it, but if he does, I'll get it from him...oh, and Jacob's Ladder too btw. |
